morning all,
I hope that there are some new developments in this case today. So I read the article from the Aussie paper...have they or have they not found a mattress?

this is confusing!

When I went to bed last night we had not heard any RELIABLE word that LE had found the mattress. The aussie reports came via an inaccurate Fox news report. The error was picked up by the OZ newssites and repeated and now it is a big ole mess of confusion.

Per LE statements made to local NC press - LE has called off the search. They confirmed they DID NOT find anything at the landfill.

The whole mattress reports was bad reporting which was then picked up verbatim by other outlets without fact checking.

Well the school notified DSS, several others notified DSS.
Zahra is missing and presumed dead. I can't say DSS did nothing, but I can say they didn't do ENOUGH!

What more could DSS have done even after the school showed their concerns over Zahra, and even after visiting the home of the Baker's?

The only thing that I can find with regards to the school going to the Baker home and for calling DSS is because of the changing of schools.

A source told NewsChannel 36 that the staff at Hudson did see signs of trouble in Zahra’s life and even visited her home.

Should DSS have taken Zahra away because she was taken out of one school and placed in another?

Patty, It is my opinion that after all the reports DSS got, a little more investigation should be done besides a Pop In visit.

Of course we will not hear the details of DSS's investigation until Zahra is found and this goes to trial. Even then, it is my opinion that DSS will hide/shred/lie like they did in Shaniya's case. JMO

Sorry, but had they investigated the numerous claims and took action, Zahra may still be alive today. Look at what we have uncovered about the homelife of Zahra in less than a month. A couple of "visits" to the home where everyone lies to DSS and the child is scared to say does not cut it IMO.

Most of us knew it would happen...only a matter of time. That warrant has been ready for a while, just waiting for the right day and time.

I agree with you, I do hope he cracks now. I don't think he is a very strong man. I think this may be a very important step in finding out what happened to Zahra.

Where are you seeing that he was arrested around 3AM?

With the daily bulletin on HPD site...you can click on "events"..it tells time was arrested

Sorry, big important typo for me. The article I read said AB had been ruled out, not EB. I will see if I can find it.

I read that also, it was written by some Judge that made the statement about AB. It was on fb, the Z project.

IMO, if Brittany and her mother would have called DSS when they claim that Elisa abused Zahra in front of her father and Zahra was confined to her room and only allowed out to eat, Zahra would still be here. JMO.

Not sure I understand this arrest. All they picked him up on was the worthless check charge. He'll be bailed out within 48 hours on that one. Are they planning on hitting both of them with more charges today, now that they have them both in custody. :waitasec:
