I found this, not sure if it is right tho, North Carolina police find mattress of missing Zahra

And I bet the consulate said, "You can keep him, we don't want him back." I highly doubt Australia wants to help him out in any way right now. And I wonder who would pay to get him out of jail? I seriously hope no one pays that bond and gets him out. He is right where he belongs.
Zahra Bakers father, Adam Baker, was arrested early Monday morning at Charlotte Douglas International Airport

Hickory police have arrested the father of a missing 10-year-old on charges unrelated to her disappearance.
I would certainly hope that the Australian consulate gets involved. That's what they are there for. I would hate to think that anyone would not get help from their consulate in a foreign country no matter what. JMO
I hardly think he was filling out a job application or hitting up a coffee place! Wow.. this is just crazy isn't it?????No way! Do you think that's legit? Sure sounds like he was trying to flee.
Just throwing this out there, for the heck of it; maybe relatives came in from Australia and he went there to pick them up!
I thought LE has three passports?
Not sure I understand this arrest. All they picked him up on was the worthless check charge. He'll be bailed out within 48 hours on that one. Are they planning on hitting both of them with more charges today, now that they have them both in custody. :waitasec:
ETA: Just saw the full list. Makes more sense.
Well apparently he was trying to flee the country - they arrested him at the airport. I would certainly hope that the Australian consulate would at least frown upon the implications of that.
