This father doesn't have just a fire but also a vandalized vehicle with a note inside threatening children. He still did not bother to even check her? How is that possible? :doh: It's no wonder a member of LE has publicly stated he does not believe AB.

In the trailer park, Bobbitt watched Zahra play with the other children, playing ball, playing in the dirt.

“She was the sweetest little thing you’d ever want to meet,” Bobbitt said. “She was full of life.”

Bobbitt’s husband would walk down the hill to give the children candy. Zahra would hug him.

Bobbitt wouldn’t associate with the woman she knew as Lisa Baker because she didn’t like the way she treated Zahra. She said she saw her smack Zahra a couple of times. She saw Baker getting angry and in Zahra’s face because Zahra wasn’t running up that hill.

She thought about calling the Caldwell County Department of Social Services, but said others beat her to it, including officials at Hudson Elementary School.

This has to be the trailer in Sawmills (and the last known residence prior to 21st ave.) so the time frame for the school visit and DSS visit would be somewhere between March10 and August 10. Narrowing it down, the school had to have visited sometime between March and May (not sure when school lets out, so can't narrow this further). Hudson school officials vist is what sparked DSS visit, so the DSS visit had to have occured between May and Aug. (the move to 21st having occured in August). Assuming my thinking is correct, we get:

Sometime between March and May - school visit (Sawmills trailer)
Sometime between May and August - DSS visit (Sawmills trailer)
August 10 - move to 21st Ave.

(Sound about right?)

Hi all, I'm new here, although I have been lurking while reading the last 36 threads. Phew! I feel like I now know you all.

Zahra's disappearance and that of six year old Australian girl Kiesha Abrahams [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110796"]http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110796[/ame] have really done my head in and I know you all feel the same. having said that, I've never encountered a more enlightened, dedicated and compassionate group of people as those here at WS, you are wonderful people.

I've been thinking a lot about the prosthetic leg and the "new evidence" that led LE back to further search the Baker's place in Hickory. It is supposition on my part but it could be that pieces of woodchip or mulch were found on or inside the leg that was inconsistent with where it was found but was consistent with the woodchip and mulch in the Baker's backyard. The leg may have been initially buried in the Baker's backyard and then disposed of later. Was something missing from the prosthesis that was later uncovered in the Baker's backyard?

Other things to chew on.

Was the prosthetic leg buried in the backyard, covered in mulch, ignited then later removed when it was realised that it wouldn't burn? Was Zahra initially buried in the backyard or under the house and then moved elsewhere as well?

Could the prosthesis have indications of being used as a weapon? Skin fragments, blood etc.? Horrible to think of I know, and I hate typing that. :cry:

IMO Zahra is located in the opposite direction of where her prosthetic leg was found. (Clever thinking on the part of the perp(s) NOT!) She was disposed of first and then the leg. Talking about disposing of a child and her prosthetic leg just make me burn! :furious:

Yes, but I would think the DSS visit was closer to the assistant principal (school) visit, especially once that asst principal went to the home - she would have reported to DSS fairly quickly (I would think). DSS has mandated timelines when they receive a report - have to investigate within 48 - 72? hours. This could also have been why the hearing aid event was attended - authorities were turning the heat up. I want to know what was being said about her leg - and how EB answered questions concerning the routine checks for her leg and also her cancer. That DSS file has alot of info!!!!! IMHO

At this point it would really help me to know what Zahra's prosthetic leg looked like. She referred to it as a Barbie leg and I know there is a titanium core, so I am imagining a real-leg look on the outside--but what kind of knee might it have had? What would the top have looked like/how would it have affixed to her stump? Would the foot/ankle have been flexible?

Each of these points would be a place where mulch or backyard dirt could enter the item and then be transferred to where it was found.

Conversely, I wonder what bits of evidence they took from that back yard. Can't imagine that the prosthetic would have left behind evidence in the mulch pile if it had been buried there? Unless:

a) it had been used as a weapon and a piece of the external covering had broken off and been left in the dirt? or
b) the wrapping for Zahra's stump was left with the prosthesis if/when it was buried or hidden in the backyard.
