I don't trust her. She is hedging IMO. "We really didn't kill her" is a bit different from "We didn't kill her", and if Adam did something gruesome and bloody with Zahra's dead body with a woodchipper (or whatever) why does she qualify it and say it was "kinda horrifying" and not just plain old horrifying? She leaves the pronoun out of "makes me scared" and refers to Zahra's death in a very non-committal, minimizing, emotionless way in "after the fact".
JMO but if a child just dies and wasn't "really" killed by the parents the parents are likely to notify 911 and their relatives and organize a funeral, not go on like these people.
