Pardon my ignorance....but what is Tara's show? And why on there not msn, I would think any major news outlet would be interested.

Eventually this will be on all the shows.

So the only 'proof' we have that DSS showed up at the Bakers previous address, is the word of what we assume is a pathological liar who will say anything to make herself appear victimized, singled out and ridiculed? I'd almost bet that the guy who showed up at the Bakers, whom EB claimed was DSS, was an insurance salesman, or he was at the wrong house.

To be fair, though, there was at least one neighbor from their previous residence who said he seen and spoken to a DSS worker who was visiting the home, and DSS has acknowledged at least one direct contact with Zahra. One or both of these two may have asked a relative to call DSS, and gotten some confirmation that the call was made and the home visited by DSS. Obviously more needed to be done, but I wouldn't assume they're lying when they said this.

I'm not assuming they are lying....just curious as to how "they made sure".

Brittney Bentley, who was married to the nephew of Elisa Baker, told WBT Radio on Wednesday that she was a drug addict and that she was sorry for not contacting the North Carolina Department of Social Services after allegedly observing problems pertaining to Zahra Claire Baker's home life.

From the article posted earlier:

was reported missing that afternoon. The stepmother said she last saw Zahra sleeping in her room about 12 hours earlier, though Hickory Police Chief Tom Adkins has indicated he doesn't believe the timeline.

Ok...if MY ten year old had been sleeping 12 hours earlier, I would have certainly checked on her waaaayyy before that. EB didnt because she knew she wasnt in there. Maybe, just maybe (and its a BIG maybe) AB didnt have anything to do with it, and EB knew she better say that Z was missing before he found out himself and started to question her. Just thinking out loud, and of course, jmo.

I don't fully buy everything BB says either (this family is reminding me of my step-fathers family- his sister locked her own mother out of the mothers house..crazy people)
I know that if AB was fully involved with the abuse EB wouldn't have needed to lie about how she hurt her hand- so I think a lot of abuse took place when he was out of the home.
Can't get past the locked in her room and given only 5 minutes to eat- if true dad has to answer for that for sure.I think drugs are at the center of this whole family's dysfunction which includes the criminal issues.
I'm not saying AB is a saint who wouldn't say boo to an ant- I'm just saying from everything that we KNOW RIGHT NOW (that is always open for change as the case continues) he was a good father before he meet EB.

excellent point if its the truth it came from BB too IIRC

Why does EB's son say he has "no comment" as to when the last time he seen Zahra????

Probably because he's got better judgement than most of the rest of that extended family. Just because he's saying "no comment" to the media doesn't mean he hasn't told police exactly when, where, and in what condition he last saw her. Under the circumstances, it's the right thing to do, to tell police and then leave it to them to share as much or as little about what they know and how they know it as they think is in the best interests of the investigation.

You bet it will! But I was just wondering who Tara was and why her first.

Perhaps a safe place to let out the information without being on TV. This may be an "unpopular" or perhaps "popular" radio show.

I thought BB had discussed in a previous video that after seeing the black eye, they had discussed it with BS, the daughter, and that she had called. :waitasec:

MOO

The two women claim that, although they never called DSS themselves, they did "make sure" DSS investigated the case. Although they did not actually explain on WBT Radio how they made sure that happened, they claim to have seen DSS agents at the Baker's house.

ummm, Ok.

Pretty clear that LE has a lot to wade through.

Gee, are we going to start hearing about the difference in lying and "mistruths' now? I'm going to pitch this monitor out the front door in about ten seconds. LOCK THEM ALL UP...sheesh...problem solved. Isn't this thing with "I called DSS, oh wait, I didn't call DSS" obstruction of justice too?

I did find that kind of odd, the rest of the family is throwing EB under the bus and he's not saying anything "until all the evidence is in" could it be he's trying not to implicate himself? :footinmouth:

Isn't this the son that lived with his father and said he only met Zahra once...maybe he just really does not know anything.
