Found Deceased ND - Chelsi Dean, Anthony Dean, & 2 kids, Manvel, traveling from ID -> MT, 22 Nov 2018

This case reminds me of a young military family that went AWOL last year. Hopefully this is a similar situation (meaning that they’re in a safe place and just hiding out).

Oh I really hope so. This is an ADORABLE family (reminds me of the Watts tho :()

Hoping and praying that this beautiful family is found safe.

That is one extremely remote area. Google maps suggests the fastest route from Billings to Ekalaka is to go northeast to Baker then back south-southwest, but depending on their route of choice, that is a large area.

I see ravines AND rivers all along the route. I'm going to bed and am so afraid of what will be here when I come back tomorrow. Please let there be a holiday miracle. Please let them all be found safe.

Police need help finding missing Manvel family

Ugh- a friend of mine's daughter was killed in an awful car accident in Billings. There's an area of highway that is very curvy, and when it gets icy, it gets treacherous, especially if you are going fast. I hope they didn't go through the same. I wish I knew what stretch of the highway it was. Praying that they are found ok!

Where I live it’s flat as a pancake and ice is still scary. I can’t imagine how it is in a “curvy” state.

Family is from this area

Between billings and miles city is the interstate cell service is spotty at best there.

Between miles city and baker is a 2 lane state highway that is pretty hilly and windy. There is almost no cell service.

Between baker and eklaka is bad cell service straight road but hilly. Very dry no water. Basicallly from miles city to eklaka is very light traffic.

So sad. One missing I guess means one person has been ejected from the vehicle on impact?

No! Oh I’m so sad.

I was googling this to see if any other news has come up, and it seems this is a common area for crashes. Other ones on I-94 near Huntley recently, and in August a woman crashed near a canal in Huntley. I was wondering how with kids, a huge SUV, a trailer, in the early hours of the morning when most Thanksgiving travellers are already at their destinations and the traffic is not bad (where I am, anyway - and it seems no one blatantly witnessed this and called 911) how this happened. Just curious. Of course a deer could have jumped out, it could have been snowy (assumed they’d slow down even more) but I wonder if this is a common thing here and if there is something horribly dangerous about the area.

The photo I see shows only one vehicle along with the trailer it was pulling. So very sad for the family.
