Deeply saddening to hear.

May their loved ones hold one another tight during this tragic time.

My heart goes out to their loved ones. This is so incredibly sad.

This appears to be the Pryor Creek bridge just east of the Huntley exit. I’ve been over the bridge, and iirc it’s a straight shot across with nothing very remarkable about it. My first thought is that the trailer may have started going sideways and they were unable to recover...

What a tragedy. The family was just together for Thanksgiving and headed to another family home to continue their day. Heartbreaking. It doesn’t matter what time of year something like this happens - it’s awful. There are no words sufficient to convey how much I feel for those who loved and knew this precious family.

Read my signature. It brings me a bit of comfort.

Awful news. :( I wonder if fatigue could be a factor.

4 dead in I-94 crash near Huntley

Speed is a factor and the road conditions unknown, according to the MHP.

It has been icy, with rain/snow. Folks just need to really slow down this time of year, especially early in the morning. People tend to forget. I went out this am, black ice everywhere, we had a bit of rain, that froze up on the sidewalk and road.

I wondered about that, being as the accident happened around 7am, shortly after leaving the motel where they stayed overnight, and shortly after talking to family about arrival time. Icy mornings can be the worst. Black ice that cannot be seen, for example. I have questioned from the beginning why they were towing this other car on a trailer. Seems it was a fixer upper. Was someone going to work on it over the holiday weekend? Or were they delivering it to the grandmother's for someone else? I would bet that the trailer had a lot to do with the loss of control of their vehicle, as well as speed, of course, which goes without saying was probably too fast for the road conditions and the trailer towing. Heartbreaking stuff, and as stated before so quickly - here one moment and gone the next. Poor little girls, poor family. RIP
