She was in danger because they had just recently broken up.
IF YOU MEET AN EX BRING A FRIEND!!! Breakup violence is real, and sometimes even the perpetrator hasn’t been previously violent. Such an emotional phase can bring out the absolute worst in people.

The search for Cari Allen has covered many areas in northwest Omaha and Douglas County — from a prairie to the landfill.

And it’s not just law enforcement officers combing through brush and garbage. Another sort of searcher has been leading the way.

Keeping alive hope of finding what happened to the missing woman, cadaver dog Joey sniffed around for the scent of death, but no leads this time.

“She’s trained to only hit on human remains. bones blood tissue,” said Dale Stork, owner of the dog.

Fugitive Topekan Aldrick Scott was arrested Tuesday in central America in connection with the abduction of a Nebraska woman, who remains missing.

The Topeka man accused of kidnapping an Omaha mother who was arrested in Belize may soon be back in Nebraska.

Kidnapping suspect back in Omaha after being arrested in Belize

Douglas County deputies took Aldrick Scott off the plane, loaded him into a patrol car and took him directly to Douglas County jail.

"Cell phone tower data from the defendant's phone puts him in Omaha, Nebraska at the Good Life that same evening," the state prosecutor read.
