I can answer some of the questions posted by Steadfast. Most information is from just sitting around quietly, listening, and trying to put together the facts and throw out the bull. There are some very conflicting stories going around, some from the same people that seem to change the story to suit their fancy. Why one would do that except to make it a little more, shall we say "Spicy", which in itself very sad. Law Enforcement has enough to do working with the facts and does not need to spend time running down rumors and statements made just to "Stir the Pot".
Who left first? Did that one storm out or just leave quietly?
Corrie left the bar first with the female friend she had asked to take her home. Apparently left quietly very inebriated. It is not known if she left again once she got home.
Was the house Corrie stayed in that night the new house or the old house?
Corrie was found at the old house.
What is the deal with the "flurry" of calls Corrie made to Scott? Did she make them before or after she got home?
Why didn't he answer them?
We have the two different opinions based on hearsay of how many calls were made. Basically the same time frame, within a minute or two and either 9 or 10 calls. I have a tendency to believe the information had to come from an employee of the Cell co. I don't know the provider for their service but do know the info could not have come from someone looking at the bill. Uncompleted calls do not show as they are not billable. They are however able to be seen by employees looking at the call log on the Providers system. (Generally used for billing discrepancies and trouble shooting.) I don't know what kind of phone she had but mine will only show the number called one time in the call log if I try more than once by using redial. If the call is answered each time, it will show each call. This leads me again to think the info was given out by an employee, IF it was give out. I also have heard rumors that did in fact happen and the employee has been dismissed.
Why could the first responders not tell Corrie had been beaten to death? What did her friends try to launder off the sheets? What else did they clean or straighten? Have the police ever picked up those sheets that were eventually thrown away? Is it true that the wounds indicated they were produced by a female?
First indications did not show anything out of the ordinary. Hind site by everyone now says it should have been treated differently, (as stated in one of your earlier posts on how to handle a death) There were apparently no open wounds or bruising. We have no information about where the head trauma was, front or back, only Blunt Force, to the head and body. Again I am wondering why the friends were so quick to launder the sheets. I also wonder how they found out so quickly as they arrived while the police were still there. Who called who to give them the news????? As I have stated and someone else has stated, dying is seldom clean, so washing body waste off the sheets would be my guess. I am assuming, and I emphasis assuming, the state patrol has the sheets and probably some other "Stuff" we know nothing about. I also wonder if there were any photos taken before the body was removed. If the EMTs did what they are trained to do, the body might have been moved anyway. It is not up to the EMT to decide dead or alive. No matter what your personal opinion of the circumstances or the state of person you are called to assist, you start life support or life saving measures and keep it up until someone with the authority tells you to stop. In this case it would have been the Coroner. As far as the female sized wounds, since there were no open wounds, how could anyone tell that at the time it was stated? Possibly the state crime lab has some answers to what actually caused the death, meaning brain bleed, internal injuries, or whatever, and what might have caused those particular injuries. That has yet to be released. So----, I think that was started just to point a finger or cause some discontent.
Any suspicion surrounding the female friend?
She has been questioned, but not held for anything. I don't know how many people have been questioned or how many times, but do know she was called or taken in. As far as I know there has been no one held for anything pertaining to this crime.
Anybody in the community acting hinky since Corrie was murdered?
People are naturally upset and a little jumpy. "Kinky"? I don't know as I would call it that. The town is full of strangers, as has been for some time. The whole summer we have had roofing crews, pipe crews, natural gas crews, and now harvest crews staying in town. Strangers walk the streets all the time as they are on a crew of some sort and don't have their own vehicle to get around with. People are getting used to seeing strangers walking all the time so might account for no one paying much attention to someone out and about. We are a small, trusting town, so it might be tough to get people to remember details even if something was seen that night.
