To clear up a point that "Worried" commented on as far as how Corrie was found in the home and to what extent. I speak from experience in the issue dealing with the EMS. If you are called to a scene you assess the scene first and foremost to make sure it is safe. Secondly you assess your patient or patients. If Corrie was unresponsive upon the EMT's entering the location in where she was their first act would be to check for a pulse and breathing. Now if none are present then there are other signs to check for rigor mortis or the condition of the body. Depending on how long she had actually been there which I have no way of knowing, life support measures were probably not started and therefore the body would not have been moved or touched or if it was, as little as possible. A misconception is that when EMS is summoned we run in with everything in hand to save a life well that in fact doesnt always go that way and as far as saying if someone is dead or alive that is a call that we can make. Depending on the state of the body, an EMT can in fact call for on line medical direction from the medical director or doctor on call, give them their assessment and the decision to work a patient or to call the coroner is made then. But im just stating facts I will be the first to comment there had to be some type of indication that something wasnt right. To the EMS or the PD. It isnt very common for a 28 year old to be found dead. So some red flags should have been flying. I cant judge or comment any further because I was not the one summoned to the scene but I would imagine that some questions should have arose. My heart goes out to those directly involved in this case and of course to the friends and family of Corrie. I pray everyday that those working the case and those directly involved have the strength to bring justice to the victim.
When and where did I ever comment wanting to know how Corrie was found. I never did.
