GUILTY NE - Ismenia Marinero, 45, & son Josue, 5, Omaha, 6 May 2015

  • #261
My thoughts exactly. I am getting more suspicious that Josue was not thrown in the river. That location is out of the way of all the others. I can't imagine him wanting to cruise around after that, he would probably be looking to get those kids off his hands quickly. I am starting to think Josue was left closer to baby brother. I don't think he thought this out very well and was panicking trying to get those kids out of his possession.

annamolly,
First of all
:welcome4:

I've been thinking a lot about this, and it makes lot of sense. I've been searching for anything regarding confirmation that Josue was put into the River. Because, the fact of the matter is, this perp could manipulate this situation (and hurt Josue's real family) by making a false confession (that he threw Little Josue off the bridge into the Elkhorn River (that hurts to type :tears: ).

Talk about exerting power and control (not only against his family, but LE as well)! I hope investigators are taking this into consideration, as far-fetched as it may seem.

If I've missed something , please let me know. I just feel like we are missing something. Every possibility must be considered. The SAR effort has been (and continues to be) tremendous. If it has been a wild goose chase, I can't fault LE one bit.

The fault lies with the perps! They would be responsible for the wasted resources.

I just want Little Josue to be found safe!

(I hope I am making sense :blushing: )

It's been a long day - I've been up since 0400, and going on 4 hours of sleep :(

:cow:

Yes I totally agree. They have expanded the search at least and I am glad. I know the chance of finding Josue alive is small but I am hoping for a miracle.

I am wondering if he lied out of spite or even to cover for someone. I think the girlfriend played a large hand in this. I think her associates know where Josue truly is and I hope LE is putting the pressure on so someone cracks. This family has been through enough. Give them the closure they deserve even if that is the ending we are all hoping does not happen.

Whoa... The perp claimed "he played a part" in his mother's murder??!! Say what? The 🤬🤬🤬 is being charged with first degree murder, meaning the act was premeditated. Played a part... SMH.

Dad should be allowed to stay in the country even if it is on a temporary work visa, if nothing else. Anyway, his status should not matter under the circumstances.

The hell this poor family is dealing with is unimaginable, and they need all the support possible.

I hate to even think or type this, but I do hope LE is searching the landfill(s) for little Josue.

I don't think he thought this out very well, either. He murdered someone, then had to figure out what to do with her kids! Life in prison in going to be interesting for him.......I can't say I feel sorry for him, either.

His testimony will be important, I'm sure. Also, if either of the defendants in this case ask for a jury trial, I could see a savvy prosecutor encouraging little Angel to get dressed up and just sit in the courtroom for a short time, so the jury could see him. I don't think that's swaying the jury, and if I were prosecuting the case, I would want the jury to see the child who was abandoned in the trash.

Reading and following this incredibly sad case. It is my opinion that he asked for money, and took beautiful little Josue as retribution. I'm not sure after that, because she would have called 911, etc etc. I just feel that things started with Josue. What beautiful children!

I don't think it's a coincidence that this tragedy occurred on Josue's birthday.

Given the horrific actions of this son against his mother, and his history, can he really be believed that he threw the 5 yr old into the river? If that were true, why didn't he throw the baby into the river as well?...........but he didn't, he put the baby into a garbage dumpster where he had to have known the baby would start crying and screaming and someone would hear the baby and look inside. This leads me to believe that he did not, in fact, throw Josue into the river....but perhaps just to 'stick it to' LE and send them on a wild goose chase, he lied and told them this.....to waste their time and resources and prevent them from finding the real location of Josue.

Also, if he murdered his Mom there at his house then dumped her body in a ditch, what stopped him from dumping little Josue's body in the ditch (if he also killed him) with the Mom's body. Or kill them all and leave them all in the same place. I really don't believe Josue is dead, he is somewhere...........alive. Just my feeling.

One other thought.........if he needed money for drugs or for something gang-related, could it be possible he "sold" his little half-brother?........child trafficking?

If LE is using all of their resources and time on searching the river, and he was actually never thrown into the river, then they could be using up valuable time to search for him, perhaps alive and well, somewhere else. Just my 2 cents.

.

Sounds like he couldn't kill the kids so deliberately like he did his mom. Or maybe he did what he did with them in front of her to make her suffer more. Sick individual there..

My heart aches for that father. Having children of similar ages I cannot imagine what he feels. And while the miracle of Angel being spared is amazing, I would bet that dad feels like he can hardly go on right now. This case has moved me to tears. I hope that family is lifted up by all the light being sent to them. I will be thinking of them for many days to come.

Rest In Peace Josue
You will never, ever be forgotten!
:tears:
I know you are with your Mommy, together in Heaven, looking after Angel and your family from above.

It hurts so much that your beautiful, precious life was cut short.
But I promise you, we will fight for justice for you! Your family's hurt and pain unites us, and we will see this through...

I'm hoping that little Josue didn't suffer. I just can't imagine the pain Josue felt if he was thrown into that river while still alive.

I don't know what would be worst. Death by drowning or death by stabbing. I kind of wish I knew his mother died of a gunshot wound, instead of 20 some stab wounds. At least then I could think that Josue might have also been shot and didn't have to suffer too.

RIP - Josue
