Hi Patty G. We know that Nejame was paid this exact amount ($5k) by Never Lose Hope. Could you please explain why you'd prefer the money offered to Kronk be from a different source? To me, the source of the money isn't important.

I was basing my opinion strickly because there was thought that NeJame received a retainer from the Anthony's and I felt the money came from other avenues such as appearing on TV Shows etc.

The source of the money is not important, although if the money is from a "foundation" the money should go back to the foundation in order to help other's in need or at least ask the foundation if we can do this or that with the money.

Either way, if Roy K can receive a reward, then he deserves the money.

I just want to take back anything negative I ever said about MN. I think he is one of the good guys.
I think RK should be able to recieve reward money, why not, he found her and he didn't give up. So what if he is a county employee? If there is some suspicious reason, if there is some reason he needs to be investigated, then ok finish that first. My personal opinion is that this guy is just like any of us and he felt or saw something that wasn't right and so he kept on calling until he was satisfied. JMO

Very interesting! Is this a way to get us clamoring about how he is so deserving of this, rules or no rules? (I have no problem with that, but ideally would prefer money be taken out of the equation.)

Its a no win situation I think whether to publicize it or not. If nothing was mentioned and later down the road people found out Kronk quietly accepted 5,000 from an Anthony former spokesperson people would be questioning Kronks and everyone elses motives. If its publicized that an offer has been made people still question everyones motives. At least they are being up front and honest about what has been offered.

I suppose it's possible. He could certainly have sort of separated the money he was paid by Never Lose Hope from money he received from TV show appearances.

Never Lose Hope doesn't answer my emails about the car raffle that I bought a ticket for at the fundraiser in Daytona on August 1st. In fact, they disabled their email address right after they answered one message. They told me I had to go to Exotic Cars or some such thing. When I replied that it was their responsibility to tell me since they had sponsored the raffle, my message bounced back saying that the address was not valid. Every now and then I try it and it still doesn't work. Neither does their website. It is under construction or something.

IMO, this money is the money that NeJame made off of different TV shows based on how the article is written -

Roy K's attorney confirmed to WESH 2 that they are now considering an offer made by NeJame, who is offering a $5,000 reward to Roy K. That amount represents the money NeJame made while serving as the Anthony family's representative.

If the Anthony's had given a retainer to NeJame, IMO, then the article would have said: "NeJame offers Roy K's the $5,000 retainer from the Anthony's as a reward for finding Caylee".

Course, that presumes that the news reporters always report the actual facts, and not their spin :doh:

Mr. Nejame has certainly redeemed himself AFAIC.
I didn't like him much at first knowing who had pre-paid him,

Is there a legal difference between a reward and a gift? Can Mr K. accept a gift but not a reward? Once again, I would like to see him get piles of cash.

How donations were spent by non profits involved in this case.

...coupled with questions re: how the non-profits generated said donations made to their orgs (e.g., fundraising by saying monies would be used for one thing, but turning around and using the monies for an entirely different purpose, etc.,) all of which we CANNOT DISCUSS HERE (and no, I'm not complaining, just stating the rules.)

I'm glad that Nejeme isn't keeping money from the a family.......shows he could care less!
He doesn't want or need blood money. The a family must of sickened him. Nice jester to MR guy. All citizens should be persistant like MR! IMO

MN is a defense attorney, he has made plenty of money off of people who have done worse things than the A's. What sickened him is their daughter who put them in this position to begin with.

And I think he does care, he has repeatedly said The A's are entitled to believe what they want to believe, if he didn't care he would have closed up shop without a word to the public. To me, his repeated attempts to say "I can't help them if they won't listen", says a lot about how much he cares about them and how they are doing.

I also think if he hadn't found a way for the MR to be able to accept his gift, he wouldn't have made it public. The MR did a good thing, he shouldn't expect a reward but he should be able to accept one given freely with no strings attached (Like MN's and LP'S).

Does anyone know if the TIPS award is contingent with testifying?
