When all this came out I to felt they are not looking for a live Haleigh. I know TES does search for the living as well, but the way the article read that they were coming back when the foliage died down made me think that as well. Why would they wait 6-8 weeks to start searching for a live Haleigh? Anything is possible, but "IMO" they are more likely searching for a child that has passed. I pray that is not the case.

Hi Flossie, my bold...I stated in my post that in referencing those two options it did not sound like closure would be gained that way. There would be no burial for a live Haleigh, there would be no funeral for a live Haleigh. I said that in those two options there was not hope for a live Haleigh

There were however 3 options given by TM and one was indeed to bring them home a live Haleigh. My post was pointing out the last two options he gave. I ask you this though. Why would they wait for 6 weeks to search for a "live Haleigh"...in your opinion? Would Haleigh be hiding in the foliage that TE is waiting on to die down? I am sorry if I offended you with my post. I know we both have very different opinions about where Haleigh is today. I would love nothing more than to believe she is alive and will be home to her family before her next birthday. But I am of the opinion that Haleigh is with the angels and will be celebrating the rest of her birthdays with them. In my opinion if Haleigh was alive waiting 6 weeks or more to begin searching for her would not be wise.

I think they will be trying to rule out that she is there, and possibly finding some type of evidence that could lead to her.

Gotcha. TM gave 2 deceased "scenario's". Finding her remains and having that funeral. You didn't answer my question about whether or not and why you thought it was productive to wait 6 or more weeks to search for a "live Haleigh?

JMO he didn't give two deceased scenarios, it was one, finding remains and having funeral.

If the foilage is too tough to get through to search, waiting makes sense imo.

TES looks in the foliage and searches the area for remains in every case they do and in alot of those cases they end up finding a live person instead of a body. As for Tim saying We want to do everything we can do to make sure that they do not go through the next birthday without having Haleigh back home safely, or without having the remains and having that funeral," he said.This part of what he said could just as easy be taken as he is searching for a live child. I dont think in that statement Tim told anyone what he felt he just covered both bases.This is the first case that I have felt that the child could be very much alive some where. I still hold on to that belief and hope my gut is right and she is found safe and sound.

I guess everyone interprets things differently. I really truly can understand the hope that you hold onto. No-one wants to bury a child or watch a family bury a child.

Tim made a statement about doing a ground search, has he announced a solid date yet?

OT~ That's the only statement I saw Tim make, so if I missed one please overlook my thoughts~ but I'm going to wait and see what other statements Tim makes on behalf of how many searches and what kind of searches that his group will make before I decide if they are only looking for a deceased child. It could be that the search for an alive child is also underway but just not commented on as of yet.

I am just glad that TES is back and going to be looking for HC. I took the above statement from Tim, as we are not going to be sucked into all this drama of the family and such, we are here to find this child. I didn't think he was stating his thoughts on whether HC is alive or not, just he is going there to find her. (sorry, not that anyone asked me, but i figured i would put in my 2cents..lol)

ok, now i am just more confused... Foliage is the plants, leaves?..... when do they stop growing? In 6-8 weeks, they are going to be thicker. I know when i don't trim my trees or cut my grass, my yard is much thicker. Maybe i am misunderstanding what they are referring to.

In fall the folaige stops growing so much. Certain plants and grasses die back, leaves fall off some trees...........

and when the foliage begins NOT to grow so easily....it is much easier to flush out the poisonous SNAKES.....

and there are plenty of those pesky things around in all that thick FOLIAGE/BRUSH/VINES/BUSHES....

I agree... and not only does he not understand how TES works, in that interview Cobra didn't help himself out by implying that TES is a side show and rats that the case doesn't need... as well, he suggested that donations should be sent to him instead of TES/TM, when LP was bashing TES/TM and trying to undermine the issue of people donating to TES/TM. ( Cobra also added in the remark of "I am no Tim Miller, I do not drink", in an attempt to show that he is the better person for the job of searching for Haleigh! )

So yeah, Cobra doesn't understand how TES works... and he has no qualms about joining up with LP and bashing TES/TM.


LP and Cobra have fan bases... I sincerely hope that they do not take those 2 seriously and give Cobra monies instead of TES/TM. TES has a successful track record... and if anyone is worried about where their donated money is going: TES is a non-profit, thus their financial records are open to the public... every penny they get and use has to be accounted for. Tim/TES are no miracle makers, but they do bust their tails to help in searching for a missing person. Just look at their track record...

It would be foolish to think at this juncture, six months after the disappearance, that a land search will result in a live HaLeigh. Of course, TM and TES search for live children but I suggest those searches happen within days or even hours of the disappearance, not 6 months later or whenever the foliage has died back. It is a sad fact of reality; the chances that HaLeigh is alive are statistically slim.
