Thats right, it is always possible Misty could somehow be covering for Crystal, or something, but I have to go shes protecting her husband, imo.

Yes. I would agree. The case has not moved forward one inch, imo. They are simply rehashing the "no forced entry" aspect and Misty, imo. They are stuck in first gear and spinning their wheels, imo. Nothing has changed, imo.

I hope MN and TM will be able to come up with something...anything. If they cannot find Haleigh then I pray they find some evidence in the searches to give LE a direction to go in to solve this case, imo.

It would be great if MN brings in a PI to help out, imo. A professional PI who doesn't grandstand or seek any public attention while carrying out his investigation would be extremely helpful, imo.

Well since Ron was at work and Haleigh was seen after he left for work I don't know what she would be covering up and since I don't think Crystal, herself, did anything there would be no reason to cover for her either.

I don't care about Najame. That's just me. I could care less what his involvement is at this point in time, no disrespect to those that do though... I'm just not paying him any mind right now.

What I do care about is Tim is there and he's going to search. I don't care how they got Tim there...thank god they did.

Tim has no allegiances to anyone but a missing child. I truly believe with my whole heart that Tim is there to find Haleigh. Alive or dead. I believe that when he does go search, he will do as complete of a search as he possibly can.

Tim is human, he has had issues in his life that many of us do before he started EquiSearch. But he has more than made up for any shortcoming that he had in his life by dedicting his life to advocating for missing children, for actually getting together volunteers that will search with him and he does this in the name of his murdered daughter Laura.

I wasn't kidding when I said that I am praying every night that Tim will find her. No matter how he finds her...just that he finds her. Then after she is home, let the chips fall where they may, and the person or people responsible can fry in h3ll for all I care. IMHO.

Why spend $$$$$$ going to GA, TN, KY, interviewing and/or re-interviewing XXXXX amount of people, spending additional $$$$$$ on poly's or VSA tests . . . when, for six months (6 long months that HaLeigh's been missing!) LE, although closed-mouthed about alot in this case has at least made one thing emphatically clear for six months - they need to talk to Misty! Misty is the key, Misty is the holder of the information that they seek, Misty has contradictions and gaps in her story, Misty knows what happened . . .
No price can be put on the life of a child but dear GIH, unnecessarily using LE's resources & funds takes away much-needed funds for other investigations. . . other missing children cases.
God forbid but what if another child was reported missing in Putnam County tomorrow or the surrounding area, whether due to an adbuction or a disabled child who wandered off on their own. As a parent you want every available resource to help find your child - the services provided by local LE agencies and surrounding LE agencies including organizations such as search & rescue services like Tim Miller provides, are not free. (and they're not even cheap) These services are costly and these resources have to be allocated based on several factors but the dominant factor is cost-effectiveness & efficiency.
IMO, LE has stated where their resources would be effectively used - would provide the best opportunity for locating HaLeigh and bringing this case to a conclusion and that is re-interviewing Misty. JMP

Looks to me like they are exploring both options, bringing HaLeigh home safe, or bringing her body home. I am hopeful the searching will help show she is not there, and is alive, and will push them to look elsewhere.

As I've said before, it is what it is. They treated Misty as "suspicious" early on and she's not answering any more questions. It's not the first time a "suspect" (assuming she is one) has refused to talk. LE has to quit whining and blaming it on her and do their jobs. IMO, this statement of theirs yesterday was ill timed (they've had 6 months and didn't have to do it on her birthday, on a day when TES was announcing another search etc).

Making these repeat statements about Misty is not advancing their case....they've got to stop whining and blaming their inability to solve the case on a teenager and do their jobs...investigate!!

Perhaps they came down too hard on Misty too quick....made a major tactical error. The more they make out that she is a suspect/lying etc to the press, the less likely it is that she will talk, imo, particularly now that she apparently has a lawyer.

I am glad that you brought this statement up again..I feel it should be added to the heading of the thread. Nejame is not taking sides at all and does not care what goes on between Ron, Misty, Crystal or anyone else. He clearly stated it yesterday. So, regardless of who contacted him it does not matter to him. What matters to him is that Haleigh is still missing and he asked Tim for his help in searching for her. Now, many will go round and round about why didn't anyone else contact him besides TN. We don't know if anyone else did in the past and maybe he had to think about what he would get himself mixed up with especially after the fiasco in the Caylee Anthony case. I am just grateful that he was able to insert himself in Haleigh's case....just for Haleigh and Haleigh only. My appreciation goes out to Nejame, TES, and everyone around the world that is helping in the search for Haleigh. That is all the matters right now...LE will do what they have to in time, but with out finding Haleigh their no way of knowing if she is alive or deceased.

May I suggest to everyone to take a min and post Ad's in their city, whether it be Craigslist, Face Book, Corkins, Yuwie, My-space, any free advertisement site with Haleigh's picture and information. And keep sending the emails with her information as well. Let's try and do our party for Haleigh she deserves to be found.

You make an important point. Nejame was very clear. Per the link below, he said, "It's no secret Ron has been in some trouble and that's irrelevant to us. We don't care what the family is going through independent of Haleigh. We don't care about the accusations that are made. We don't give a damn! We have a missing child! That's all we care about."

Because if it wasn't a stranger abduction, like LE said, then it was family. Family lives in those states. You can't find someone if you don't look elsewhere. LE states they've looked all over Putnam County, apparently she is elsewhere.

Where does LE say they've looked all over Putnam County?

The press release says they've "searched thousands of acres, including all property west of Highway 17 near the Cummings residence."
but the county is a lot bigger than that. According to Wikipedia "the county has a total area of 827 square miles (2,142 km²), of which, 722 square miles (1,870 km²) of it is land and 105 square miles (273 km²) of it (12.73%) is water." I think they still have some Putnam county to cover.

Did you ever think they are waiting until Misty is 18? Maybe then, they will charge her without having her sit in comfy juvenile hall, maybe they want to shock her with big girl jail? Maybe whatever they will bring at her they want her to be tried in adult court? I mean I really dont even know how old you have to be to go to jail there, but maybe they have to wait a bit to really scare her, she cant hide because of her age for too much longer.

You really think the LE did not have someone combing those family trees and following up with them? I really have the faith if I am thinking of doing that, so is LE, I really dont think there is anything that has been suggested on these boards that the LE has not looked into, just because we dont hear about it does not mean it never happened and the LE never thought of that-

If the cops truly think she is in another state at a distant relatives house, why are they letting Tim Miller spend money that could be used on other cases to look for Haleigh?

I tend to agree with bunny here. LE needs to gather evidence and not whine about suspects not bringing the evidence to them. Supposing Misty did it or covers for another who did, lies and refusing to be interviewed are just to be expected. If a criminal doesn't want to get prosecuted they're not going to solve LE's case for them just because LE asks nicely. Lying and lack of cooperation is par for the course. Instead LE's job is to find evidence that will hold in court even without confession or figure out a ploy to get a confession. Which I think this latest press release just might be, not whining but an attempt to see what happens if the words get blunter and the pressure higher. The events of the last few weeks have seemed like there's a lot bubbling under the surface and things might be close to coming to a head. Maybe it's wishful thinking.

I wish we knew where TES is planning to search.
