4th visit w/SA: Threats/intimidation will not win this case-only hard work uncovers truth for courts. #MakingAMurderer #TipsHelpThreatsHurt

Looks like she visits on Friday? LOL

I believe he was planning to claim he was framed from the beginning. I think it is possible he felt untouchable after the first case. He said it the first night.. I hope they don't frame me...

I don't trust this guy. Not at all. I believe he thought that he had the upper hand.

Or maybe he just really did hope they weren't going to frame him! I would hope the same, if in his shoes, and it is certainty the first thing that would come to mind, I would think. I would be PTSD triggering all over something like that being possible. I do not understand why that statement he made is twisted all the time.

Maybe his statement is what gave them the idea in the first place!!!

To be fair... IIRC in that interview... he was like uhmmm gee I dunno, maybe, yeah, maybe I did... kinda like here or maybe here (assuming he was motioning). He wasn't even sure if he had touched it when he went over to the RAV4. I don't think he was even sure. Would be interesting to know where the fingerprints were found compared to where he said he touched. If he wiped away his... he wiped them all away, right?

I would call it being evasive...

Sounds good, but I have to clarify that this isn't MY theory - stole it off reddit. That said, I think the person who posted on reddit used this alternate suspect, which has been discussed before and was also one of the ones the defense team was prevented from entering into evidence at trial, and coupled it with the testimony from Pam Strum, who mentioned a scary looking figure on the property when they located the car. She was so scared, she shielded her daughter from him. Also, EA did also state this man was on the property on the day the car was found and there are also photos of his car that remains junked on site. There are plenty of records to indicate that this man was indeed a regular visitor to the salvage yard and was familiar with the layout.
OMG-- So creepy! Jumping over to read that STAT!

Yea I feel like not contributing at all because apparently we are all ignoring reason, logic and fail at critical thinking for even exploring the idea that not only was this case investigated EXTREMELY POORLY but that SA might be innocent too. What's the point of discussion threads if we're just made to feel stupid? All the research I've done on this case does indeed leave me feeling crazy, but I know I'm informed, at least. And I live in Chicago where LE set people up on the regular. They had a freakin secret building in Chicago where they took over 7,000 suspects, illegally, to detain, question & often beat the hell out of before either releasing them or taking them to jail where they then could get representation. About 5,000 of those people were poor and/or black sooo..

I get the logic on the guilty side but even that stance requires the ability to ignore some pretty messed up discrepancies and well, Brenden.
This case is gross and deserves the discussion IMO.

Guys, to clarify-- in my brain I was more referring to people with NO CLUE- who had never heard of the case, watched a documentary, and were flooding my personal FB news feed with nonsense or making yahoo news article comments that were RIDICULOUSLY wrong. I thought my head was going to EXPLODE and had to physically restrain myself from commenting back. Or even presumptive comments like "You can tell he is lying!! Just look at him!!" Oh really? Just get back from Quantico did you? From their advanced level police interview seminar on behavioral indicators and verbal/non-verbal clues? Or did you just stay at a Holiday Inn last night? LOL. Statements like that, made FOR or against Steven are just opinions based on personal beliefs and what you want to see I believe. Annoying- yes, but also make a perfectly great argument from either side lose credibility for me in a second.
In regards to HERE: I cannot even count how many things I've read and appreciated and am by NO means suggesting ppl shouldn't be able to freely discuss. I have learned SO MUCH from the lil specialists on here speaking from their niche's. Ex: the bleach. My entire LIFE I've assumed that standard store bought bleach WOULD remove all traces of blood. I never knew luminol would still light up!! And honestly, if I'm coming here and coming from a place of "he's guilty" I will admit to being blinded by that and my desire to research outside sources or links will be influenced by that. I love that the "he's innocent! 's" dig in another direction and teach me and open my eyes. And I am SOOOOOO aware that there is major corruption within LE, I'm fortunate that I do not live in a large city, or urban area where it seems to be more off the chain. Not saying every police officer I know is a saint, but it's way easier to come off too defensive of LE and see the GOOD in them when I'm really never exposed to the super bad! I also listen to Steve Avery and watch him speak and 85% of the time I think "I believe this guy", but I can't be lead by my heart or desire to see him be innocent and have the exonerated party of the century...

PS: I've also heard several times, most recently during the Jodi Arias trial? That defense attorneys and prosecutors come to this site to read, research, get a feel, POST under false names?, etc....

We should all be PAID :)

BBM ~ I'm not even done reading your post yet and I'm LOL'ing! That is so true! I had a gf phone me today and she said 'well, wait, I read a story that an ex-FBI guy solved the case' grrrrrrrrrr I set her straight LOL
2ndBBM ~ I wish we were getting paid.... the amount of time I've put into this, I would be the PRIZE!!!!!

As much as it comes off that I think he's innocent.... I am really not that sure. I think I am at a point that nothing in this case would surprise me LOL I do think that he was denied that "presumed innocence" because of Kratz and the news conferences... and just the way this whole case was handled really.

And then there is Brendan... I call him collateral damage, and it's a shame, and I think because I believe so strongly that they coerced this kid, that the only logical reason (to me) that they would do that is so they could lock up Avery.... they screwed over a 16 yr old kid to get their man..... who does that and can sleep at night? *sigh* Planting evidence is one thing.... screwing Brendan out of a life is another. IMO

"MANITOWOC -- A 51-year-old man was fatally shot in the chest after he answered a knock at the door of his Manitowoc home early Friday morning, February 5th."

In a news conference, the Chief of Police stated at this time they do not think that this was a random act of violence, and that even though they do not have the suspect, the public at large should not be afraid. They also stated that they will be "methodical" in their investigation of this murder. Hopefully so. I would also like to point out that this is the Manitowoc Police Dept. and not the MCSD, so at least there is that. They also know that the eyes of the world are on them right now, so I am sure that they will be meticulous in their investigation of this crime. It's a shame that TH never got this same respect, but at least her botched investigation is something that can looked at now on how NOT to do things. :(

So I read over at reddit all the time... I don't post (seems like a hassle tbh LOL), but I came across this thread....

They are talking about this post...

it sound an awful lot like Kratz himself!!!! So Nocturnal911... I agree, I think they all read these sites... ALL the time! I also believe if any of the players in this case would crack and post.... it would be the narcissistic Kratz, who has been fairly quiet lately.

I wouldn't think the jury was tainted if they just had family members of employees. However there was a Volunteer for the Sheriffs department on the jury. He also seemed to have racked up the most hours volunteering that year. And then there is the other juror I will call Ms. D. She had to go to Brendans trial to get answers. UM why would she need to attend another case to get answers? She convicted a man for life, shouldn't she have had pretty much the answers. The answers that pointed to guilt. Why would she need answers at all after convicting someone? Did she doubt her own verdict? If she had doubt in her own verdict how did he get convicted in the first place?

Volunteer? In what capacity? We have volunteers that tend to our memorials (landscaping) and volunteers that help with "shop with a cop", etc. Was is something of that nature or for ex: retired LE, coming in to volunteer and stay plugged in? Some would have more motive to care about the verdict I would think?

As far as Mr. D-- sounds like she had lingering doubt for sure. I can say I would do the same thing if it was eating at me. Go to the other trial to hear as much as I could to help me determine WHAT to do about my doubts OR put them to rest? Seems human....
I wouldn't even need doubt in my own verdict I'm so nosey. I'd go to the next trial simply because I was uber invested after sitting on a jury. I attend trials NOW in my spare time simply because they are so interesting. Just my thoughts....

I remember the part in the documentary where his mom was losing her SHITZZZZZZZZZ by the car as she was leaving the jail so well. I would be LIVID!!!!! I read somewhere that she claims she NEVER ok'd his interviews. I tend to believe her. I might have behaved a LOT less sane than she did that's for sure.

Yes, I agree, missy, that very much sounds like Kratz himself is trying very hard to clear his name now...Too bad it is not working, as most of what the poster said just amounted to how evil Strang and Buting are being now while he is just the saint who is looking after Teresa, LOL.

here is an article about him. He had a son that worked for MCSD or the jail, or something. He was literally working outside the court doors the day they were picking jurors! There was also another juror who had a family member that worked at the County Clerks office (where the blood vial was being kept... poorly... in a box with scotch tape... in a bigger box... on the counter LOL)

So they did a miranda waiver for SA but not BD...

I agree... I doubt they got her permission. And if they did, they should have recorded it or got her signature. Believe me... I have warned my boys... no matter what, they are not to talk to the police without talking to us first. They only legally have to give their name here and then immediately ask for parents or a lawyer ... I hope I never have to worry about it... but ya know, after watching this..... LOL

So you're saying that LE interviewed Brendan without giving him a Miranda warning and used information from that interview in court against him?

That doesn't sound like it should have been allowed in court to me.

Ok... first of all.... that damage, how did that happen???? How did the defense not zone in on that? (or were they not allowed too yet again?)

Also... that second picture... I knew the vehicle was close to the one beside it, but not THAT close! IF you think that the blood was planted.... it could only have been done from the passenger doors!!!! which ironically, was the only doors that needed to be opened to get that blood in there.

The first picture... you can see hand prints on the back tire cover. I recall reading the testimony about it, but because of the dust, there was no usable prints.

So someone puts a hood and cardboard and branches all over the vehicle, but they leave that RAV4 on the spare hanging out there like that???

I hope all the Avery and Dassey boys have alibis. I will be praying for them... To have alibis... Hopefully more than sixteen.
