New leads in search for missing baby Lisa Irwin

  • #101
I don't think that LE is going to 'take the heat off' of them just because they (through their attorneys) say there is a new lead...seriously!

I didn't say they would...just that this is what DB and JI might think.

"The number of tips have dwindled in both quantity and quality," Young said. "Just like we have been from the beginning, we are open to following up on anything that is remotely reasonable."

My money is on Officer Young. He will follow up on anything remotely reasonable. His words were in response to Picerno's statement about promising leads...LOL.

......"remotely reasonable" are the key words here. Tips have gone down in quality and quantity. It was time for the DT to stir things up and keep LE busy and wasting money. It is what they do. And on top of that,, they get to use all the phoney leads and sightings in a court of law to create what they call 'Reasonable Doubt".

Just had to bump this up and say "AMEN"!

Fire the LE source who is leaking information??? Good Grief! For over a hundred years that is the way we get our news. Reporters used to have LE as the source. D#$$n Defense attorneys got into that also. These attorneys are the reason LE has to have a specific Law Enforcement Officer to talk to the public. They have to learn lawyer speak and, as of now, can't confirm anything when a suspect is not arrested. They have to use vague terminology, because God forbid, if they didn't, they would have a lawsuit on their hands.

Some attorneys love to go after LE. LE are like sitting ducks. One wrong or misplaced word and they are sued by an attorney.

....It never ceases to amaze me how so many people in the public arena love to go after Law Enforcement..

So true, Whisperer!

I get tired of negative comments about LE.

Attorneys for famed maniac Charles Manson reported Wednesday that there are new leads in the decades old case. "We are really super excited," attorney Jim Sharky said, "These exciting new leads will totally help exonerate my client!"

When asked for comment, police chief Paul Reynolds said, "What?"

What does Charles Manson have to do with the Missing Baby Lisa ...

What does Charles Manson have to do with the Missing Baby Lisa ...

I think the poster was making an analogy between the defense attorneys in Baby Lisa's and Manson's cases...Manson's attorney was trying to blow smoke to distract the people making the decision to give Manson parole, and the defense lawyer for I/B is trying to deflect blame from DB and JI. Both lawyers are claiming outlandish "new leads".

I think that was a fake quote by Charles Manson's lawyer that was just made up as a joke.....

"Grieving" isn't reserved for death! I'd be grieving too if my baby were missing.

I will say this, I have never heard of the word "Grieving" used in any other context than to explain the loss (death) of a loved one. just sayin

This is what I've been saying all along.....u don't grieve when you lose ur keys or when ur car is stolen..I wouldn't be grieving if my baby was missing because I wouldn't be presuming she was dead.

I'm not quite sure why so many are confused here about grief.

Certainly people grieve other things besides deaths.

You grieve the loss of a marriage, of a dream (such as being a parent or an olympic athlete or a career path), the loss of a home in a fire, etc.

You grieve the loss of all kinds of things, even things you hoped to have but never could achieve.

CERTAINLY people grieve the loss of a baby who was snatched from their home and they expect they will never see again, regardless of whether the mystery ever gets solved.

CERTAINLY they are grieving the loss of this darling baby.

There is no confusion on my part at all about the word grief and what it means and stands for and how people use it in this country. (US)
As far as I am concerned it was a slip of the tongue. Nothing more nothing less.

This "new lead" is getting kind of old.

I'm still waiting for the new lead.

I'm still waiting for the new lead.

I have been checking for updates on the different cases I follow here for any news ...

And "Surprise Surprise" ... Nothing about this missing baby ...

JMO ... but I don't think there was a viable new lead ... just the parents' defense attorney blowing smoke ...

MOO ...

I am too, but it seems they're not allowed to release it yet.

That could be the case. I do hope that there are legitimate leads that LE is investigating. I believe that the focus should be on finding Lisa, whether her parents are guilty of any wrong doing or not.

I think everyone is different and were talking about a word that can mean different things to different people thats the whole problem.

Hopefully, this will be a tip about a person who wanted a baby and will lead to a live Baby Lisa.

She's just such a precious angel. I stopped reading this forum because it seemed hopeless that she would be found alive, or even at the very minimum that this mystery would ever be solved.

Now, with Ashley's comments, it seems hopeful that the best outcome is possible - that she will soon be reunited with her family.

The fact that this VERY tightlipped LE isn't saying "uh, I'm not quite sure what the lawyer is talking about" indicates to me that they know darn well what he's talking about, and as always don't want to comment.

I hope you're right .The Anthony's lied repeatedly for Casey and were constantly stringing the public along .I'm a cynic where this family is concerned, but I'd gladly eat crow if Lisa comes home safe.

I disagree. You can be grieving because someone died or is leaving you forever, because a relationship has ended or what you thought your life would be like is taken away (injury,disability,etc....). The thing is ,grieving is for a loss .What that loss is may be different, but it's still a loss.

When the mom used the term they may have been scared, anxious, out of their mind with fear ,but grieving at that point? No.Not mom, anyway.
I don't think it was a mistake . Mom knows something happened and Lisa is gone and she should be grieving.
But you know what ? Even as she said they were grieving ,she sounded angry and annoyed, not grief stricken. JMO

Well, again, they are very different from other parents who have children missing,if they already believe they will never see their baby again. The statistics for infants surviving is far greater than older children that are abducted ,so why would they give up ?

Most parents never give up hope.

But actually, they aren't that different . They are using the same playbook other guilty parents have used. Pretty transparent ,IMO.
