Do you agree with her doing it in London?
There is no real evidence that NZ is more dangerous than the UK in that regard
We have very low murder rates.
NZ has more of a domestic violence problem.

I don't think the "accused" is dumb I think he has a very smart long-term plan... for commenting on her post after she was missing it made it quite obvious he did or knew the something about the murder it was very suspicious which I think he was wanting due to the high interest, in this case, I believe he knew the number of people (NZ & UK) searching her name once she was found dead/missing they would scrape every detail for example suspicious comments... they would see that comment "Beautiful, very radiant with a reverse smiley face" (which was posted the day after she was missing) ....

Do we know for sure they were together in a dating situation? Maybe they were with a wider group and he separated Grace on some pretext.
I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you but it may not have been obvious at all that he was an oddball, many murders and other criemes are committed by seemingly normal people who only appear dangerous with the benefit of hindsight. I'm keeping an open mind for now until we know more.
It's most likely she never got a chance to contact anyone, whether that be an emergency number or her family. If you're drugged or ambushed or held against your will that can happen at home or abroad.Yes if she knows the area and has friends and family around who can help in a sticky situation then it’s a lot different. I am not trying to blame her here as she was adult and free to make her own choices but it’s not something I would ever do.
That’s just eerie. The FB comment was made about 10 minutes before the last sighting of Grace seen entering the CityLife hotel not after she went missing.
That’s just eerie.
Gotcha. I was referring to the timing and what we know happened after. It is eerie knowing the outcome but police said Grace and the accused had gone to a number of places together that Saturday night before going to the hotel. I don't think this was premeditated murder so at the time it was an innocent comment (if not a bit odd) and it was definitely made long after they had met that night.

Emojipedia (lol) also says it represents a sense of silliness or goofiness. I think people are reading too much into it.apart from the emoji he used was sarcasm/teasing so I think he was definitely planning something. It was his idea of a little wink wink nudge nudge to what he had planned.

We shall see when we go to Trial as everything so far is pointing to be a wacko so definitely think he knew what he was planning.
Planned or unplanned, that is the question.
Did he chat with this other girl for 6 months with the intention of a relationship/romance/sex?
When she changed the plans for that day was he angry and wanted revenge on womanhood, or did he just want to get the most out of his hotel room and find a one night stand? Did Grace say no and he felt entitled to take what he wanted? Or did they take drugs and she died accidentally?
Or is it much more sinister and the plan was always to get a girl and kill her?
