Not a huge fan of the boyfriends dads wording while speaking to the union. It's awkward, i guess I'm going to go with that. "She came in to our lives 9 months ago" "she was like a daughter to me"...creepy alert. Not saying he's involved! Just creepy. I don't know too many 14 year old girls where a father of the boyfriend is that close to the girl. He seems very involved in their relationship which is positive I guess? Idk creepy lol

Okay, to be clear, we still have no POI's or suspects in this case. BF's dad, BF and sister are off-limits unless they are mentioned in MSM or by LE. This includes all FB pages.

You may want to become aware of the T.O.S. of WS. Take it from a newbie who has gotten her hand slapped a few times :blushing:

The Black truck is mentioned here: http://www.wmur.com/news/nh-news/fa...girl/-/9857858/22454244/-/qb9ufc/-/index.html

Around noon Tuesday, detectives pulled over a black Chevrolet pickup truck on Route 302. One of the occupants of the vehicle, Pam Hatch, said she went to see her husband, who was in the hospital last week.

She said each day she stopped at a Dunkin' Donuts on Route 16, not far from Abigail's home.

Apparently, one of the receipts flew out the window of the truck. Police recovered it, tracked down surveillance video and found the vehicle Tuesday.

Good Morning everyone, my gut feeling is - they are watching frequent users of the DDonuts drive thru window. the truck they stopped yesterday had NH plates. Wasn't an unanswered question at a presser asked a few nights ago about a black truck ? Another feeling-- I still think Cranmore area is IMPORTANT. Read back a day on this thread and figure it out. Was it media that first mentioned Cranmore ?
They are watching locals maybe...moo

The Today show this morning claimed that LE is saying the cell phone call from Cranmore is false.

I dunno, I think that receipt being found where they were searching made them want to know WHY it was there, and who left it. Luckily they were able to track that lead down, and see that it wasn't anything involving the case.

I just can't get a feel for this case. I posted in another case how sometimes you read the first few media reports and just get 'that feeling' of what might have happened. Not getting much here, other than I do believe she was either followed home, someone was waiting for her at the home, and possible someone she knows, but maybe not closely knows. That's about as far as I get before I get to the "I have no clue!" phase.

Unless there was a note left saying she ran away, which I don't feel there was, then there was evidence of 'something' at the home that just wasn't right. As to if Mom called friends before police, hard to say. If the phone was there, maybe. However, if the phone wasn't there, then Mom might not have a clue to what numbers to call! And kids change those phone numbers so much that even if she had numbers, doesn't mean they were still active. I know I could call a few of my daughter's friends from the phone book, and call their home phone, but as for the cell numbers, I can't keep up with them! So if my daughter's phone was gone, there would be only a few I could call up, though I know where they live!

dD has a drive thru window, camera , useful for vehicle plates. Paper receipt is a needle in a dense forest.

I agree!
Creepy!
Has anyone been ruled out in this case?

  • #888
Was anyone home when she got there?
Who wasn't where they were supposed to be that day?
Who was doing things they don't normally do?

  • #889
I agree with the theory that there must've been something noticeably amiss when the mother returned home, to have called for help so quickly. I wish we knew what it was, but looks like LE are keeping things close to their chest.

Not really. The paper receipt would have the location and the time stamp. That would make it very easy to go back and look at the video, assuming that there is not only a video camera in the drive-thru but by the door, as well.

Good Morning! This may answer your question...

IIRC the phone info came from a newspaper article. I always thought newspaper reporting was more reliable, so I'm surprised, frankly.

The Union Leader QUOTED a named Fish & Game officer. I'll see if I can dig it up ..

http://www.unionleader.com/article/20131013/NEWS07/131019694&source=RSS

Her cell phone "hasn't been used since," said Major Kevin Jordan of the NH Fish and Game Law Enforcement Division on Sunday.

EDIT: So either JY is calling a Major with the F&G a liar , or she is playing games with words ...

EDIT2: Also just so you know the F&G are a division of the State Police up here in NH. They are State Troopers .

Where I come from, that's not unusual for the parents of a teen to feel close to their son's or daughter's friends, especially if they are frequent visitors in their home. When my oldest son was in HS, I became quite close to his girlfriend and she and I went shopping together and she would often drop by when he was working. I still think of her sometimes. Another girlfriend he had once was the daughter of a friend of mine and she actually did feel like part of the family. It broke my heart when they split up.

I would prefer a parent to think highly of their teen's friends rather than give the impression they barely knew them, wouldn't you?

Hi guys , how come when i google map the village ln conway to 409 eagles way conway (kenneth high school)!, it is coming up either 3.9 miles or 4.8 miles and not the 2 or 2.2 miles it mentioned earlier. i dont know if i got wrong data or can you verify yours too? This is a long walk to school if this is 4 miles and up, she should be taking the school bus?

All post above are just my opinions only.

If you read back through the thread you'll see I had the exact same problem. All the White Pages etc info says Village Lane. But MSM say Village Way and LE were at Village Way, so we have to go with that and assume that whatever process is used for gathering that info just screwed up the address,

IMO the flying receipt story is bogus. they had the block of time established (2:30 - 7:17) so no need for time stamps until they found a suspicious vehicle, or AH herself, on surveillance. it would be prudent to go through all five hours, IMO, not one specific vehicle at a specific time...

there is one DD between school and home and it's not a drive-through. the other is past her house and IS a drive-through. considering she was walking over two miles home, why bypass the walk-in to walk further? and why do they believe she was in or near a dunkin in the first place? enough to question an innocent motorist?

https://www.dunkindonuts.com/content/dunkindonuts/en/stores.html?a=conway, nh

furthermore, and this is not finger-pointing but merely a fact, that her BF's father lists DD as an employer. "java technician" he calls it. which one did he work at and is this purely coincidence...

thoughts?

I think the poster meant that finding a paper receipt on the ground and then following it through completely until you figure out who it is from is pretty much a shot in the dark.
I guess they are following EVERYTHING.

I don't think they are wanting the public to keep an eye out for Abigail at this time....not really. There is not a plea of intensity like in the first days. So I think they have something.

All good points...

I have an idea, though...

If mom somehow had even one of the friends of AH phone number... She could call that one person... And start a "chain of calls"...one person calls a couple of friends... Those friends call others.... And so on...

I imagine Sister Sarah would have access to at least a couple of the phone numbers?....Or social media?

Just some thoughts...

I sort of sense, forgive me, that the BF and Abby are quite the odd couple.

Will go no further. Just making a visual observation.
