At the request of colleagues at the Massachusetts-based Mission for the Missing organization, retired New Hampshire State Police Lt. John Healy examined letters and other written statements issued over the past nine months by Abby’s parents, who live apart.

“In none of the letters did I detect any sense of fear or desperation,” Healy said. “My sense is they strongly suspected she was gone voluntarily. Law enforcement obviously couldn’t reach the same conclusion and say, ‘We’re done with this.”‘

So the iPhone was turned off or destroyed the day she went missing? But the clothes were kept for future return? :gaah:

http://www.conwaydailysun.com/newsx/local-news/115486-police-look-for-suspect-in-abby-case

Good point. It would appear that from the outset:

1) one or more parties didn't want GPS tracking to be used

2) one of more parties knew she'd need/want her original clothes back

JMO, but I don't think it's likely that her returning in her own clothes had anything to do with DNA concerns. If she were forcibly kidnapped, I would think DNA could be an issue on her original clothing as easily (or not) as with other clothing worn while gone.

Several things bother me. The contradictions in staments between the AG and the family about Abbys health. Why did they want all family statements analized? There had to be a reason for that but thats as far as ill go with that. Why they wont say if she was kidnapped or went willingly.

Doesn't LE always go silent and refuse to confirm stuff when there is a hoax or a cover-up going on? I am not saying that is for sure what is happening, but I have noticed this pattern before.

From the statement issued by the Hernandez family -

The last few days have been extremely busy while law enforcement and medical concerns have had to be addressed. We are working in full support of law enforcement’s efforts to help the ongoing investigation.

http://www.bringabbyhome.com/

I don't know why there is so much scrutiny on how Abby has been treated, or not treated. I have no doubts her health is and was a priority when she returned and that she has been given the appropriate care. From following this case from the beginning I have no reason to think the family are lying about her condition or embellishing for whatever reason. And as for what was said by LE about being in 'good health' add one word to that and you get a different perspective, 'considering' 'Good health considering' (the ordeal of the last 9 months) which I know is what I was thinking. JMO

  • #506
Yeah but they didn't say "considering". I am not going to add or subtract words to make this contradiction go away. It still bothers me.

I know they didn't say it. Just we have been here before scrutinizing every word the AG has said until our heads spin, to no avail.

My Dearest Abby,
We don’t know if you ran away but if you did, it’s important for you to know Sweetheart that nobody is angry with you, and you are not and will not be in any trouble. I just need to know that you are OK. I am very worried that you are out there in the cold, because I don’t know if you have a jacket. I am also worried that you may not be eating. I am hoping and praying that you are safe, warm, and that you are eating. Please Sweetheart, if you are able; find a way to let us all know that you are ok. It can be a simple message like posting your favorite Bible scripture (Book, chapter and verse.) It’s the one that you also used as your password. Dad remembers what it was. You can post is on Face book, Twitter, text it, or however you wish. Or you can phone it in to anyone that you trust. You can phone it in or Fax it to the Conway Police Department at (603) 356-5785 Fax 356-8837. Or you can call the Jackson Police Department at (60…3) 383-9292 Fax 383-8150. You can also call the dispatch number at (603) 539-2284. It doesn’t matter if anyone answers or if the call goes to voicemail. If you don’t want to say anything just say the Bible scripture. If you don’t want to do it yourself maybe you can get someone to do it for you. Or use whatever method you wish. It doesn’t matter how you contact us, but please Sweetheart find a way to let us know that you are ok.
You probably didn’t anticipate all the media attention that you are getting, and we understand that it can be overwhelming and a bit frightening. But please know that I promise that I will do my best to keep the media away from you, and no one will embarrass you. For whatever reason that may have caused you to run away you know deep in your heart that you can always come to me, as you have in the past and we can work it out. No matter what it is.
Please know that I am praying and trusting in God, and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that they are watching over you, and will return you safely to us. And I hope that you are also staying in prayer, and having faith. Please stay strong Sweetheart.
In the last letter that you wrote me you ended it by saying….”I love you very, very, very much and that you will always be my dad.” Well darling let me also say that I love you very, very, very much, and that you will always be my daughter.
With Love,
DAD

There are parts of this letter that stand out to me especially considering that we now know Abby was very thin.

And does anyone know what this verse is and how did her dad know it was her password?

IMO good health just means she doesn't need to be hospitalized.

James Campbell stated "she wanted to go to the store"...

looks like the outlet mall was "the store".

Between 2:40 and 3:30 p.m., authorities said they have received multiple unconfirmed reports of someone matching Abigail's description walking on North-South Highway between the rotary and the entrance to Settlers' Green outlets.

You were on that already, good call momrids.

Prosecutor Jane Young, who heads the criminal bureau, would not characterize Abigail's level of cooperation with investigators other than to say she provided the description of the man.
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/investigators-release-sketch-in-abigail-hernandez-case/

There are a couple ways to interpret this, imo.

One way would be that her level of cooperation is minimal (alternately we often see "so and so is fully cooperating with investigators, etc")

OR

LE might not want to indicate that Abby is talking with investigators in case she really is talking, but perhaps has been threatened not to do so, etc. In other words, they do not want anyone to know she really is talking, so as to not tip their hand or endanger Abby, kwim.

ITA. When you are released from the hospital they give you your clothes back. If she was in a commune maybe she wore some type of dress.

This whole story is just so strange. We need a better description on this guy, like hair color, what he drinks, tatoos, what he smokes, if he has a scar, if he wears jewelry, what was in his car could be a clue. Something. They need to get this guy, imo. He might have even helped her get away.

Jmo I think that description is bogus.

I don't think she is talking at.all and I'm guessing they won't allow a Dr to examine her. Jmo

IMO good health just means she doesn't need to be hospitalized.

The actual statements are polar opposites:

"Associate Attorney General Jane Young said Abby was in good condition. Experts said her safe return and good health indicate someone was, in some form or another, caring for her."

http://www.wcvb.com/news/photos-rele...#ixzz38XSyrhCv

vs.

"Right now, Abby is resting, extremely tired and in deteriorated health, and has lost a lot of weight. She is working to build her strength back and we hope soon she will be back on solid foods." ... “Abby is very thin and weak. We continue to work towards getting her to eat."
http://www.bringabbyhome.com/

That last by the family makes it sound as though she ought to be hospitalized. (The first implies an "expert" has deemed her in "good health," so much so that it seems someone was taking care of her.) IMO.

I've noticed that LE has gone silent in many cases, not necessarily because there is a hoax or cover up. It's usually either due to an ongoing investigation and not compromising its integrity, or simply, bc they don't know anything or have information they want to release.

This is going to be hard to explain, so bear with me here.

Re: Abby wearing the same clothes, I'm not saying this is the case, but have you ever coincidentally worn the same outfit...meaning, I've seen pictures of myself and been like, "Oh, I'm wearing those exact same pants today..." Make sense? But then again, with the weather, etc, not adding up.
So thinking out loud further, if she went off in those clothes, then bought new clothes, maybe she didn't want to wear those bc they could be tracked to wherever she bought them, hence surveillance footage, etc.
Circular brainstorming post, lol.

Except if they didn't want to let the perp know she was talking to them they'd likely not publish an artist sketch based on "three hours of talking to her."

  • #519
I asked this before in the initial threads, iirc, but forgot the answer---homes in NH have basements, is that correct?

True, lol. But if the sketch is bogus, then the perp would see that it is fake when it looks nothing like him and not be alarmed about her talking. He would anticipate that she would be extensively questioned.

Hmmm, that inspires a crazy thought thought---maybe LE put out a bogus sketch to throw off the perp, lol.
