I'm not trying to start rumors or anything. But, did someone mention he was drunk?

I had not heard that but he could appear to be and not be due to his mental conditions. Example slurred speech, not acting right all S/S of paranoid schizophrenia,

This is a great question and one that I can't shake! They claim they Celina was discovered in a routine search...but I just don't believe that. They went directly to spot where she was located. Something had to tip them off. What was it...and why did the AG lie about it?

Anonymous tip maybe? In a town that small, a nod to an anonymous tip might have the townspeople pointing fingers, outing the tipster?

Just thinking out loud...

After a week of trying to find the "needle in the haystack," it was quite a feat to locate the body, IMO. I was stunned when she was found. I had been thinking how rugged that area is and how she the chances of finding her were greatly diminishing. Yet that morning, for some reason I thought there'd be a break in the case. I don't think it was just happenstance or that they sort of stumbled on her body. Surely it was a detailed tip of some sort, don't you think?

Yesterday's press conference claimed that they started searching all water areas - ponds etc. Started near her house and moved out. Lowered the river in advance - so after other waterways were checked - they moved on. I think they said, they went to the area at 6:30 AM and found her near 10 AM. So its not like they went right to her. But then I can be confused ... but I definitely got the impression that there was a list of water searches to be done and they were moving down the list ...

Being in the water for so many days, how will that affect evidence and the cause of death?

I'm sure the length of time in the water has some effect, but not being a doctor or coroner, I don't have that information.

From what I have read and previous cases, the temperature of the water makes a big difference and somebody said the water is warm near the dam.

Anyone else?

They had systematically searched other sites in the river. Starting with those that made the most sense. They searched a spot just south of town where the river bends. The current would have moved an object to the south bank.

Had they searched this location immediately she may not have been there.
In hindsight were hearing there are evidence markers on or near the bridge. But without that knowledge I don't think the would have nor did they need to look there earlier.

Yes, exactly.

I am not surprised that WN is not cooperating. This is a sick individual. That behavior is completely in line with schizophrenia. If, and that's a big "IF," he knows what happened to Celina, then that is probably a trigger for a psychotic episode....especially as they got closer to the discovery of her body.

WN's obsession with sex is very evident in his FB friend list. "Obsessions" with distant people is common...he may actually have believed these women were his friends. He may have believed that he was in love with them or that one of them loved him. These unrealistic fantasies are part of the illness.

If you click on some the "ladies" on WN's FB page, you can see that these are spam sites. (The lady photo is used to send a friend request. On the fake lady's FB wall there are multiple items for sale (sometimes 🤬🤬🤬🤬, Nike shoes, headphones, and etc...) If one has malware on their computer, these "lady sites" can show up on your FB wall WITHOUT ever clicking on them. If you read the Q book wall, people are questioning how this got onto their FB wall because they didn't click on it. These spam sites can also show up as wanting to chat. When you click on them, you get more spam. The silly applications that say "Soandso said this about you" or "Answer these questions" also are known to contain malware which can cause one to get friend requests from many spamming "fake lady" FB sites.

WN accepted friend requests from these sites, but they may not have been initiated by him because they are spam. Notice that he only posted three sentences.

I don't have FB, so I cannot check out his site. I only saw his main page but could get no further. So you're basically saying that all of these "friends" may just be sort of like unsolicited "pop-ups" rather than actual people he was corresponding with in a meaningful way? I heard he posted something about a bachelor party. Other than that, would it be fair to say that he really was a laconic guy who didn't do much communicating? He certainly had very little to say to the reported who stuck her mic in his face!

I know one thing, if I hear of anyone saying, that Celina always liked to swim in the river, I'm going to dirty my britches.

Please, someone tell me what do you think may have lead them to that exact spot in the river.

I've thought about that too. 100 LE agents from various agencies in a town of 900 people for over a week. I'm thinking lots of people know other people's business in a town that small. If you've got great LE with people skills right there talking to all the folks who want their home girl found, bet a lot of clues/information can be brought to the surface. I think it was a direct tip or something they learned about how this location relates to their POI(s) or their victim. I don't think it was random; seemed to take a lot of effort to get the body from the river (doesn't seem like it was floating at the surface or easily detected imo).

It's a matter of routine to follow up on all tips and clues learned during investigations. To me, LE saying something is a "matter of routine" is vague, but not a lie ..

As far as WN not being cooperative. Look at the video yesterday with Amy while he walked. He was not answering all her questions to well. So I think we can have a picture of what he is probably doing with LE. (Just my opinoin)
This is a possibly a symptom called alogia.

I SUSPECT (MMO) that they went where experience and perhaps hydrologists suggested that a body would fetch up if it washed downstream.

This part gives me pause.

Police said there was no sign of a struggle and there was no indication she ran away or someone took her.

Me too....very little left to choose from other than from within.
Also, LE interest in SF's car now...
but wouldn't they have examined all vehicles earlier?

That makes sense; they could have just been following a plan and hit upon her body. Lucky they hit upon it so soon...

Sure doesn't seem like LE put a lot of resources into a search for a live Celina who took off with a trucker or something (like some early theories suggested). I think they had good reason for searching land and water close to home...

And why on earth would they cover it and not take it?

Sadly, being an incest survivor, I feel like I have the answer to that question. The urge to rape a young child in the home is often impossible for some pedophiles to resist.

Sometimes I think the only reason my uncle didn't kill me was because he like the convenience of having me sleeping just down the hall.

You just posted one of the most horrifying things I have ever read. I am sorry you had to go through that. :(
