hasn't he gone over 2 hours yet? I know yesterday he said 1 1/2 hrs---he lied!!!!! :ohwow::pullhair:

He has no sense of time LOL Kat was on the stand for 10 days but he believes he only spent 5 days on cross, I know the prosecution didn't spend 5 days on her testimony

I don't think I'm going to have time to try to get chat working between now and prosecution :( Thanks for the instructions, though, atthelake! I will definitely have to figure it out and use it in the future.

http://websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9560634&postcount=1112 CORRECTED ONE!!! and http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69168

Mibbit is *unstable* IMHO for some, but is QUICK AND EASY!!!! I use mirc and java doesn't work for me. These two show all three options.

ETA: Once you get in there you will know the right place as right now I'm in there and so is panini (the moderator). Just hang out there in a tab for a while! I'll be back...off to do errands on lunch break!

ATL, What is the 10 second rule?
TIA!

Barth has failed his client miserably, he chose to make his whole case solely about discrediting Kat. He got caught up in his own personal dislike for Kat, because she claimed his office fed her information for her story, he couldn't put his own self interest aside & concentrate on defending his client

State's Atty Geoffrey Ward is presenting closing arguments. He starts with the text to Kat McDonough about the punishment she would receive for not providing a woman to him. Ward says that wasn't in Kat's sticky notes, and then he shows a picture of Lizzi Marriott, and says this case is about what the defendant did to her. He says the defense's representation is to distract the jury from the truth.

I am very pleased with the prosecution so far.

  • #336
I hope the State leaves Lizzi's picture up there for the jury to see. This is about a young woman who's life was stolen by a pair of fackups.

Good start Ward.

I like this prosecutor but I disagree kat had tons to lose. IMO the GJ did not get the whole truth.

  • #339
He is saying that the defendant has shown no responsibility for his role. That Kat's tears were real... that she had no motive to lie... that immunity meant she could've said it was an accident... and protect the love of her life, but she didn't. He says she told the truth. And points out that Ms. McDonough was 17 years old... and their relationship became sexual while she was still 17.

IMO, Ward is doing great. I'm so glad he pointed out the stuff about her not being a fully-formed adult when she came to the relationship at 17.
