Yeppers, pretty quiet now and don't even log in lately. Were MANY during FCA/JA/Zimmerman trial. Do you have mIRC? There are two ways to get in...one through mIRC and one through your browser. There is a thread at WS with directions. Usually, you will know if you are in the right room as "panini" will be there. log in and just hang if no one is talking.

Is it still this link?

I tried a few times but could never get it to load right, but that was before I switched to Firefox (IE never worked with anything)

11/22/1963 is probably my new favorite King novel.

I'm just waiting for my memory of detail to fade a bit before reading it again. lol

I have a question, all the while after Kat moved in with Seth, her Mom was going over there, calling, texting, doing everything to 'reel her fish back in', so why, after Seth was arrested, did Kat move in with his parents? Because she 'had nowhere else to go', or to keep a close tab on Seth and what he was saying?

Things that make ya go Hmmmm

Originally thought it was because she had no place else to go. But you raise an interesting point and I think it is right on. Knowledge is power; she needed it to maintain control. Thus, keeping close to Seth by living with his mother.

The judge looks bored too.

I guess State law's differ? I thought all potential witnesses couldn't sit in court but since I started watching different trials it defers. Keeps it confusing for me

it depends if either side invokes witness sequestration........if they do, witnesses go out!

exceptions may be law enforcement unless one side has filed motions precluding this and the judge granted the motion........

and since victims rights have come to be, usually the immediate family of the victim is the exception to the rule........

Oh yes! I think kat wanted to keep tabs on making sure that seth was still willing to take all the blame and hang it all on him to protect her culpability. Still I say it wasn't a big leap since seth did participate in the murder of Lizzi.

IMO kat loves the illusion of being a damsel in distress but she is anything but.

Until her Mom got on the stand I sorta cought that point, but afterwards, I think it's more the latter.

It's funny how two people can look at the same situation and see something totally different. In my mind, she was still in love with SM, wanted to be with him, thought (stupidly) he'd be out of jail pretty soon, and knew her parents were even MORE upset about her involvement with him. Since she didn't want to be hounded by her parents over her relationship with SM, and since she fully expected to be reunited with him, she decided to stay with his mom, who by her account treated her very kindly.

Barth misrepresenting ME's evidence

  • #237
Barth is presenting a list of claims that he wants the jury to think about... in the analysis of the night that Lizzi died. He asks if they have doubts that it was a ligature homicide, and brings up the dualing testimonies of the medical examiners.
