When Kat gets out and on parole is she able to come and go as she pleases? Venture outside of NH?

I'm not positive, but I assume so. I dont imagine she will have much of a chance of getting a job locally.

Great job jury! I am a little surprised on the 1st degree conviction, I probably would have gone 2nd since I didn't believe a word that KM said. But, great job!
Thanks to all who posted tweets and opinions. It's good to have company watching this stuff.

Yes it is great to have company watching trials with, especially a lot of new people here on this one. I just wish more people would feel free to give their opinions.

The more the merrier, imo. I was so shy when I first joined WS and then I found out I really like watching how our justice system works through the courts.

I finally just got to watch, my live feed skipped out too. He was guilty on FOUR charges, they skipped over the third M2. So only 4 were read. Correct me if I"m wrong. I was confused with all the twitter scuttle on the Ward lying garbage, saying you can't have both but the judge saying you could. My understanding was that you can't and I was getting confused. I just wanted to clear my messy head of confusion.

Final thoughts…so happy justice was served for Lizzi and her family, but someone got away with murder, literally. JMO.

I guess I am confused by your comment on the M2 and the Ward lying garbage.

You can't convict of M1 and M2 they are 2 different charges with totally different sentences.

I was confused by the 2 M1 charges and the conviction on those, but now I believe it makes sense.

Can you explain what you mean about Ward lieing?

So now that we have a conviction of this killer and we have heard the state's case and evidence...do web sleuthers think that the state did the right thing in giving Kat the immunity as unjust as it seems? I'm on the fence...wondering if two trials could have gotten two convictions?

I can try Jewels 53 but can't posts links. Twitter folks were calling closing statement lies on Ward expressing you cannot convict on both M1 and M2. Which I believed Ward. Then Judge gave jury instructions and summarizing you can find guilty on all (paraphrasing). The MSM feeds came out screaming guilty on all 5 counts and I was super confused and thought maybe twitter guy was right. I listened and when they convicted on the two M1 charges, the M2 charge was not brought up…so it was omitted. Just the tiny details that were swimming in my mind trying to make sense of the whole situation.

As much as most people didn't like that Kat got a very light sentence. I think the State did the right thing by using her testimony, I just wish they would have given her more of a sentence though. Time will tell as to what Kat actually does and if she gets herself in further trouble.

At least we know she will never be with SM again!

You can't convict on both 1st and 2nd degree murder at least I have ever seen it happen. imo

I think the laws in NH may be different, so that my be why SM was found guilty on both 1st degree murder charges. I know I have seen sentences different in the other states. I believe it depends on how the State government writes the laws they want implemented.

This is just all moo

Im not sure, but there are two eye witnesses, Paul and Roberta, seeing LM deceased in the apt. with bags on her head. That would be enough for me to believe murder. I think those too sealed the deal for this case. Just my thoughts. KM was not credible but confirmed she was there. R & G were off but its confirmed they were there and saw the same thing.

Quoted Jewels53: You can't convict on both 1st and 2nd degree murder at least I have ever seen it happen. imo

Thats what I believed and was so confused on, especially when MSM was tweeting guilty on 5 counts. I kept asking myself how is that possible. My streaming was not working so I didn't hear first hand till much later.
