OP trial should resume any day now. Better than nothing.

I tried that one a while back, those are brutal hours to try and keep
Maybe I will though, kind of in late night summer mode anyway, if I do not have to get up for an early trial...why not.
What time does it kick off in the am today (tomorrow) Chell?
:seeya: TIA!

It starts at 3:30 a.m. edt I believe.

apologies for off topic:

Tonight going into Monday morning......OP trial start time is 1:30 a.m. for me, 2:30 a.m. for Geevee...lol....and 3:30 a.m. for you folks in the East.

Youtube will have it available for viewing Monday a.m. Just go to YouTube, enter trial date and Session 1.

Too bad there isn't a way we could get together at same time and begin viewing it all together. Where we post though?

Sounds good to me. I'll be back soon.

I feel fulfilled by the sense of justice I have gotten from this case.

RIP, Lizzie. Swim free, beautiful girl, swim free.

Wonder what time zone Nymeria is in? Suppose she'll have to squeeze OP in at some point during the Nigeria/France match. Does that make this post double O/T?

I still think Seth should have gotten M2, Kat should have born half the burden of culpability and punishment for Lizzi's death. Maybe verdicts depend partly on the strength of closing arguments, no doubt Ward did a better wrap up than Barth, he was dizzying to watch with his constant glass on/glass off movements.

Any word on when sentencing is?

I'm so happy to have spent these last three weeks with many of you, and that Justice for Lizzi and her family was done. I know it won't bring less pain, at holidays and every day...but I'm so grateful to these jurors. My heart goes out to them and I hope they will not be scarred for life....although I think we all will be a little bit. When we think of Lizzi, we will remember her smile instead of her last minutes. And it's here where Seth M has failed. He was a complete failure in life and he will continue to be. Kat......has a 2nd chance, let's hope she uses it for something useful and non-violent. We can only hope she has grown up some.

Hi GV. I don't recall reading a sentencing date, but will look up.

Barth really overdid the glasses thing. Some attorneys use the removal for effect when they want to make a point. However Barth appears to have a nervous habit in that regard. I remember thinking if I was the jury I'd have to look away from him. The mannerisms distracted me so and even made me a little nervous at times.

I think Nymeria is EST.

I'd think a jury panel would have had a hard time watching him as well, just too much distracting movement to pay good attention to any points he was making.

I'm going to make a Google Alert for KAT. Want to following her future.

Finally ready to settle down with WS today. We'll be over 100 degrees again for this week.

Guess I'll make a Google Alert for Seth too. Never know what he might get into in prison.

Anyone else watching OP on YouTube?

  • #997
OK....so where is everyone headed, thread/trial wise?
:sigh: still following Hulsey but nothing until the 14th for that one and even with that no stream.

I've started following the Steven Zelich thread. Pretty interesting and a lot of similarities with Lizzi's case.

I haven't followed the OP trial at all. The only familiarity I have with it is what I see on HLN.

Any other suggestions?

I was reading that thread over the weekend, have they filed murder charges yet? Considering how both bodies were found, one with rope around the neck and a what-ever in her mouth, and the other with her hands tied behind her back, how could anyone reasonably think it was anything except murder? I get the backstory but still totally beyond me why they haven't been filed yet.

I just finished the YT's of today's OP testimony, don't know of any other case going on.

I've been following Pistorious. I'm up at 4am est anyway. But I usually come in during morning tea and watch from the beginning, so I'm always a little bit behind, but catch up at lunch. With the dvr feature on WAT you can do that. I'm not sure about the other streams.

Croakerqueen posts the archive pretty quickly on youtube.

Hope to see you guys over there! :)
