I'm surprised her body wasn't found.

yea, the prosecutor said in opening statements that she was likely in the Atlantic Ocean and won't ever be found.

I was just thinking, could the tying up/killing have happened a bit earlier and the painting text sent as a 'we were doing something else' initial cover up? Then within that 19 minutes decided to call Roberta?

Actually that makes a lot of sense. Maybe they did it right after Andrea canceled? I mean we only have Kat's word that she was still alive when the painting text occurred.

I'm feeling really anxious about her testimony. I think there are bits of truth mixed in, but she is lying about a lot of things IMO.
I just hope the jury doesn't disregard everything she says.

Ok, so that said, why did they have the tarp, tape and gloves ready to go?

Are the evidencebased 6 of premeditation?

Based upon the state of their ápt-gloves weren't used for garbage/cleaning up day to day. They had a purpose. Can't believe tarpaulin wasn't there for something evil. Jmo I agree painting meant more

It does make a little more sense of the timeline, maybe the 'bondage demonstration' they planned with the couple later was supposed to star an unaware Lizzie and when they cancelled Seth and Kat decided to go on with what they had planned for Lizzie anyways, just no audience.

I think Kat is lying about a lot of things too, her story just doesn't make a lot of sense.

km says the text was code like the other codes they used, like the airport lie or murphy castle, etc...

it meant he was going to try something sexual with LM, but she didn't know what.

sm instructs her in his letter outlining their 'story', to say that the text refers to them planning to go paint and sand at his mothers house.

Pros asks, was that true? she says 'no'.

What happened right after he sent you that text? "He killed her."

She doesn't know what "painting" is code for..... All she knows that it is something sexual...

I am NOT buying that she doesn't/didn't know...

IMO.... But with all the evidence on Kat's and Seth's internet/phone footprints... And all the witnesses... I am really wondering why Kat received such a lenient sentence... I think LE could have gotten both on murder...

All.... JMO

Good morning.

The part that is bothering me is wondering why Lizzie stayed in the apartment. Strip poker happened, a request for a kiss between LM & KM was refused, a sexual performance was refused. Why would Lizzie stay for the movie at that point with a stark naked Kat beside her?

After reading the article about Catherine Fish and SM I am inclined to believe that the sexual rejection by Lizzie brought forth Dark Heart who enacted Doomsday upon her. :(

That's not to say that Kat isn't also guilty. I just don't see her as the dominant party and I'll be surprised if the defense succeeds in raising that doubt. 11 year age difference, classic methods of relationship abuse and grooming, (financial control, isolation, physical threat and control.) I admit to being confused about the mind control piece because I think both parties took dangerous risks with the perception of reality. Their callous attitude toward death shows that their magical thinking had taken over.

I have always been told that if it doesn't make sense, it isn't true.

Re: Premeditation.

Although we will never know the real story here and we are only getting small fragments of fact, I wanted to speculate on premed charges.

Neither of them seemed terribly impetuous. Seth was described as having a controlled demeanor and RG and KM both confirmed that it was often difficult to tell if he was upset. So I just don't believe that he "lost his temper when she said no". It sounds like it would quite possibly the first time he had ever lost his temper and I can't help but believe this wasn't the first time he was rejected by a girl. He wasn't exactly Don Juan.

So this had to be in the works from the beginning. But I think it had to do with some spiritual ritual that they both believed in rather than the joy or thrill of killing. I am waiting for something like that to be said.

Just my opinion.

What happens in this trial if KM is found to be perjuring herself?

If she was already dead, there would be no need to send a text. He could just talk to her directly. They texted in order to talk behind her back.

Personally, I think he always had a fantasy of strangling a woman to death. I think they planned it in advance and it didn't matter who the victim was. LM was just the 'unlucky' one. Interesting how she talked about her 'luck' that night... :(

I believe she would be required to complete her sentence of 21 years and the jury can pick and choose which parts of her story they believe, or they can throw it all out. :(

No one likes to give a plea deal to someone like this, but it was the only way to convict SM, without a body or direct evidence.

(Sort of like the recent deal to bring home our POW, very unpleasant.)

The tarp, the tarp, the tarp. Where did they get it? How long did they have it? Was it purchased as part of a murder plan?

I assume it was never recovered. km stated they threw it in a dumpster.

I strongly feel it was Premeditated and they are both guilty of 1st degree. (she gets a pass for rolling on him)

It's been so nice having the house to myself this week, but it's time to go pick Hubby up at the airport (for real, not a code word...lol) Back in a flash!
