Barth is hitting on something that really ticks me off...he was able to use public defenders to "save money" when he had family assets available to him....as a taxpayer I really resent this. There is another system that needs overhaul. Public Defenders are for "indigent" people and she just admitted it. So now Kat can go to art school as the tax payers pay for his defense.

Almost 2 yrs for me, sometimes I have thoughts that I am still smoking. Those thoughts fade quickly, can't stand the smell.

CONGRATS~!~ Was two years for me on June 4th!

I don't think that SM's parents should be bankrupt for his defense. They are not responsible for their adult child's crimes.

Who cares if she planned on going to school. How is it relevant to the murder of Lizzi?!

I feel like Kat really likes her voice, and talking about herself.

Can she actually get a decent job? Wouldn't she have a felony in her background check?

Bottom line: Both of these idiots live in an alternate reality. The lines between truth and fiction are blurred and possibly nonexistent. Neither are credible.

While I admired Barth a few days ago for his vigorous cross exposing Kat as the sociopath she is, if I were a juror I would be really ticked off at him about now for prolonging this rehash :banghead:

In the clip that was just played SM said that he was going to TELL KM to pursue her art AFTER she did what he urged her to do - became a paramedic and get their feet under them.

She was going to have to support him while he was 'in there'...

Regardless of her going to art school, I don't think his parents are obligated to go broke when he's a full grown, 30 year old adult without funds to afford a lawyer for a murder trial. I do agree he should have paid whatever he had towards the public defender, however.

Kat's been working on her demeanor over the weekend...is really ready to do combat with Barth

  • #735
Kat seems much more self assured this morning.

I understand that concept of not being responsible for 30 year old son but in light of the reasoning that was brought forth and his statements of wanting Kat to have whatever funds there are...just rubs me the wrong way...at least make him pay something...whatever he can.

Taped conversation is played, Seth talking about the money they'd save by going with a public defender: " The paramedic is something I’ve urged you, your art talent is incredible and that’s where your passions lie… it was my intention to tell you (when this was all over) to pursue that dream so maybe we just start early you know?"
