:hypno:
He is making me zone out.

I know it is important to the states case, need to explain DV to jurors, but most of us here have heard this all a million times (and usually it does not apply to the person it is brought in for )

Bingo! :thumb:

In a way, this is the beauty of a suspended or probated sentence. She has to behave well for the entire term of the sentence (7 years, or 21 years) and has a strong incentive to do so.

She is only serving 1 and a half to 3 years though Minor.
(and already a lot of that is done)

The plea deal cut it down immensely.

"Many remain upset at the plea deal the state made that gives her jail time of 18 months to three years in prison followed by a lengthy probation period. Ten of those 18 months have already been served."

Big whoop. She gets to start a new life in a new country and Lizzi is dead in the ground.

If you had to choose who spends more time in prison, Kat or Seth, who do you think its more important to keep locked up for a long time?

Expert: ...Abusers are adaptable.

And Barth has shown that so is Kat...she is chameleon-like. Jurors have seen it.

ITA Seems to me there is enough physical evidence to back up her gj version.

without a body i don't see how there is ANY physical evidence to confirm her story of what exactly happened to kill lizzi.....all the other evidence doesn't support or not support her version imo......

I believe her sentence was 7 years each. So when she gets out of prison, she is still subject to the terms of her suspended sentence and if she screws up she gets locked up for her full sentence.

I think that is true also, but his testimony is necessary to counter the defense position that Kat was the manipulator and was the one in control.

And oh how we hope SM takes the stand!
Doubt it though :sigh:

What is scary to me is I am not sure how I would answer this question.
I honestly am not sure who REALLY is the more dangerous one.
(I think she pushed him to live out his fantasies...).

BOTH. seth gets his hands dirty with the actual murder and kat manipulates others to attain the same outcome. kat didn't mind at all that Lizzi was going to be raped and killed IMO. She slept that night and had sex the next morning.

twin monsters.

Oh I would love for SM to take the stand, but I cannot see that happening at all. Not with all those letters he wrote to Kat.

But she will be out ...hell it could be tomorrow. Already served 18 months, at most 18 more months and she hits the streets.
I think she is smart enough to "behave" though.

Total up to 3 years minor. a walk in the park for what kat did.

Ok, but you have to choose - Kat or Seth? Because the only way to get a murder conviction against either of them is to get the other to testify against them and a grant of immunity.

I am so with you on this one Nymeria.

Barth really comes off as a jerk while questioning this witness, IMO.

There was not enough abuse proven by Kat's dad. Didn't she say she lied about it #SethMazzaglia
