Agree, something odd about the bags over Lizzi's head. At first I figured they just didn't want to see her face, but they could have picked something off the floor and covered her face. So, why did Kat or Seth put bags over Lizzi's head and tie them tight?

Yes! This is what bugs me too. Plastic bags are used in horror movies to sufficate a victim. Roberta and Paul both testified that they believed the marks on Lizzi's neck were caused by the bags which leads me to believe she was sufficated by the bags.

No questions from the state to these two whether it appeared as if LM had sucked the first bag into her mouth gasping for air. I don't feel the state's questions are thorough enough. They don't seem to be searching under all the rocks on this case. IMHO

I think this was the classic case of not wanting to get involved. It's not like any of these people are Einstein's. What a shame for LM.

I don't believe this could possibly be true. I think they had all decided to go with story #1 prior to R and P leaving which is why there was no phone call. These two witnesses or accomplices cannot very well testify that the reason they didn't call the police or ambulance is because the four of them decided to stick to the story of Lizzi never getting there.

If you state to someone who asks if you can keep a secret that it depends on what that secret is.....this would not be the end of that conversation based on what the secret is. You wouldn't just all shut up and continue on into a murder scene.

Well as I think about it yes it is...but in this drastic case with a dead body in an apartment and a guy saying he "went too far" I might just have to "get involved"....but think about it...what do we know really about Paul and Roberta and their criminal or other background...it seems maybe they would be considered suspects and their backgrounds (one or both) would put them in a bad position? I'm sure Barth has looked into this and it will be crystal clear when he does the cross. Hope it is not the female. He only seems to give her the very non important witnesses and she is clearly not as skilled as he is. For the defense case they just need to make Paul look like he is not telling the whole truth (which I don't believe he is) and maybe dig some dirt on him. Should be interesting. Taking Paul or Roberta's story about that night at face value is really difficult to do.

I am hoping that the ex girlfriend Fish has been really vetted and that defense will not be able to trash her too...she is important to get a conviction and I really want a conviction. I hope there is no reason for her to be lying.

Heck--I'm just hoping she appears "normal" IYKWIM

Paul admitted he had little confidence that Seth could call law enforcement and yet they did nothing. Gee we wanted "to give him the chance to to the right thing"....then he implies that by thursday they were thinking of calling someone and well they did not have to go anywhere because law enforcement came to them!! This is so bogus.

I completely agree with you turaj. Why in the world would anyone think they would 'do the right thing' when you know they just killed someone?!!??

Clearly these people are not into doing the right thing period! If you were scared for your own life while inside the apartment, which would be logical, once you got outside.......run for your life while calling the police...pronto! That is what a normal person would do.

But a normal person who gets a phone call on their birthday that some acquaintance needs help while you are sitting down watching a movie would say....What kind of help? Is she looking for money? Can it wait until tomorrow? Is she in danger? Do we need to call police for her? Something!!!!!!!!

I also question why Kat was relatively normal when going down to greet Roberta and Paul, both so far have said she seemed nervous or bothered but not freaked out, yet when they get back up into the apartment, she goes into the kitchen area, slumps against the stove or fridge and cries the whole time R & P are in the apartment?

IMO when rg and ph arrived and pulled the plastic off her face, they knew she was dead and there was no chance of rescue so they high tailed it out of there.

Frankly the sex offender Chris Ramos would strike me a more likely to do the "right thing" than Seth.

I don't know all of the answers to your questions but I think there's a distinction to be made in relation to whether a person is alive, injured & capable of recovering vs. clinging to life, technically alive, but not likely to respond to medical assistance.

When KM checked LM's pulse, (according to her,) she could not locate a rhythm. I think it's possible that there might have been a faint pulse that KM did not detect and that LM would not have recovered even with medical assistance. Don't know if that means she was "alive" at that point. :(

It doesn't take long to permanently damage the brain & nervous system when a person is deprived of breath -- manual strangulation till death of an adult takes about 3-5 minutes. After 2 minutes or so, the person's nervous system (talking, thinking, walking, being a "regular person," starts to diminish. If halted just before death, the person's autonomic (lower part of brain, at top of spine) nervous system usually still works -- breathing, swallowing, salivating -- but the "person" is already gone. (Research by me in other trials & personal curiousity)

I thought Pickles said she wasn't with Paul.....didn't she testify to that on the stand? I was shocked when he said they are still together? As I could have sworn she testified he was her ex.

But, he had his chance with RG already. If there was something to bring out criminally about her, I'm sure it would have been. jmo
These people are very strange. You or I definitely would not have let this go, but, as we all know from watching these trials, there are some very strange goings on in other peoples' homes. :seeya:

This is why I tend to think she had the bag on her head while alive. Bag on head, rope around her neck, keeping bag in place. Some twisted sick asphyxiation game.

Mornin' Peeps.

Maybe having people she cared about, or who were at least "outside" the crime, upset her and made her realize that what was there in the apt. was actually reality... I guess there's some shred of humanity in her, however small. Or maybe she realized she was totally in deep doo.

Good Morning Everybody!

Hey zoey here are some babies for your dds. It sounds like Queen has plenty! Can you ever have too much joy?

http://gma.yahoo.com/photos/kittens-play-dress-up-to-find-forever-homes-slideshow/

check out the 'Judge' and 'Bobby' :floorlaugh: I wonder what the dresser's hands and arms look like? Probably shredded to ribbons. Cats are NOT dogs.

her sister is allergic to cats!---dh while in the service got bit by cat-had to have rabies shots - (cat ran away)--he has issues with cats in general due to that---But I have found Pugs have about the same attitude as a cat--so we've gone with Pugs

What awful thing did seth and /or kat have hanging over Roberta/Paul's head to make them agreeable to risk becoming accessories after the fact?

Or maybe just an act for people who didn't know her very well? And just what was Seth doing behind the convenience store?
