Seems that account joined in 01/21 just to troll and harass him.

i spend a lot of time on Twitter and that account has all the hallmarks of being a bot. I.e. not a real person. Probably picked it up if he was doing some political tweeting. It happens. Also, I think he has blocked that account (meaning he can’t see their tweets) since in order to read the replies, you need to hit “more replies”.

I did some digging and I definitely think it's a real person. They use specific names, places, etc, that line up with his real life.

If the account made posts like you mentioned (the X changing, but not much else), I think it'd be more likely for it to be a bot. But how specific the posts are makes me think otherwise. I am not proud to admit that when I stumbled across this thread and the Twitter account, I spent a while going back and reading all of that account's posts. My gut tells me the twitter person doesn't have anything to do with Brian's disappearance, but it's concerning in it's own right.

Almost all of their 171 Tweets mentions Brian Gooney by name and/or responds directly to things he posted. I am glad to know someone has notified the police about this account, especially since one of the last (maybe the last) posts they made to BG's Twitter said "You will die alone." Yikes.

I am under the impression that law enforcement in charge of a case submits the case to NamUs. But I don't know the specifics. Hopefully a more experienced person here can assist you. There are also moderators here (link on the homepage to the one currently online) who you can message, at least that's my understanding... Good luck with the search.

Registering as a Public User allows one access to enter new missing person cases or contribute relevant information to NamUs staff, which will be vetted with the investigating agency prior to publication in the system, as well as provides the user with permission to view and search non-sensitive information in NamUs.

I’m hoping an update of some kind will be shared soon. I check daily but I haven’t come across anything in several days.

But not about Brian.. it literally stopped the day before he went missing. I will be surprised if they aren't linked. Either physically or Brian was pushed too far and couldn't take it. If this is the part that was public, I have no doubt, the things he said and sent to him were both awful and relentless. Just my guess, but I would be surprised, if not. There's nothing ok with this....

I’m so bad at these, but looks like cell and/or wallet (ie something rectangular) and something fabric like an extra mask. Maybe hand sanitizer too? I can’t tell if it’s just the angle and his pants bunching up or if those pockets are stuffed.

Brian’s last tweet mentioned future grandchildren. Does he have children or stepchildren, former foster kids, or even close nieces/nephews? (It’s less clunky to say “future grandkids” than “future grandnieces and grandnephews”, IMO).

First, I’m asking generally. Off to visit or meet up with someone? Maybe with an action figure to gift?

the “I’m going to tell my grandkids this is so and so” thing is a popular meme, I wouldn’t spend time dissecting the meaning of his tweet tbh. According to the troll persons tweets, they we’re formerly romantic partners.
