FRANKLIN (Somerset) - Township police are searching for a missing teen and asking for the public's assistance.

Briana Rice, 17, of Franklin, has gone missing, according to a Facebook post on the Franklin Township Police Department's account.


Franklin police are searching for a missing teen and asking for the public's assistance.

"We are asking for the public's assistance in locating Briana Rice," the post said. "WE NEED YOUR HELP!!"

The police described her as a light-skinned black female, with black hair and black eyes. She is around 5-foot-2 and around 130 pounds.

Missing date is Sept 3.

She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, gray sweat pants and gray New Balance sneakers.
She last made contact with her guardian Sept. 3 and she has friends in the New Brunswick and Asbury Park areas. She is known to frequent both cities and utilize NJ Transit to travel between the areas.
