Since the witness reported the suspect putting her in backseat and IIRC buckling her in, that doesn’t sound like a person in a huge hurry. Also, doesn’t sound like Dulce was complaining or crying.

IMO, an abducted child would be hurriedly tossed in a vehicle! There would be no concern as to her safety such as buckling her in at the abduction site. Was the seatbelt already adjusted to fit a child? That is a step that takes extra time.

Probably bystanders and just about everyone at the park at the time (even names of those who had wandered off already) were potential suspects. JMO

Sure they were. The wording is what is odd to me reading through that. Some are witnesses and others suspects? hmmmm

I never saw any reports of the perp taking the time to buckle her in. I mentioned in a previous post that it would be helpful to know if at the time she was placed in the van, was she quickly shuffled in or did he put her in a car seat? Someone had to have seen more than just what we're being told. Minivan, strapped in a car seat...might mean a man with kids? Or at least prepared to abduct and restrain a young child. Something isn't adding up.

I’m from South Louisiana and we say “get down from the car”. Our area is primarily Cajun-French where many of us speak or understand French.
I speak French, but I don’t translate in my head... but that is correct... translation

Shock and fear can result in silence too.

Because she knew them?

Amateur opinion and speculation

Definitely possible IMO. But it could also be because this guy told her something that made sense to her 5 year old self, like “Your daddy wants to see you so he said I should come pick you up”, etc.

My point being he could have said a variety of things to make her feel comfortable even if she didn’t know him. My other point being (in using that example) that I think it’s entirely possible the perp has some knowledge of her dad being away.

MOO.

Anyone know the motive ?
Or guess ?

Yes, unfortunately those old tricks still work, even on well-informed and "smart" children. Many poorer school districts don't have Safetytown programs, either. Even after having been through that program myself, I still once answered the door for someone who was a stranger to me while my mother was in the bathroom. Thankfully they were a well-intentioned friend of the family, but I still had quite the stern talking-to after that.

That’s all contingent upon if one believes the narrative (stranger abduction).

If it’s a stranger abduction, the motive would almost certainly be sexual.

I’m not convinced this is that though. I don’t know what the hell this is.

Get down from the car, or ...
Ice cream fell on the floor, ice cream was knocked to the ground.

French and Spanish seem different.

@otto, is your sense that the red van was parked on Burt Street near the sheds?

Yes. If the 3 year old said that his sister went towards the red/white buildings, then I think the van was parked just on the other side of the buildings, in another nearby parking lot. It sounds like there is a witness who saw the child buckled into a red van with tinted window.

One has to wonder how 24 witnesses did not realize that a 5 year old and her 3 year old brother were in trouble.

Unless contrary info comes forth, I believe this was a stranger abduction....an opportunistic one. It can happen to anyone anywhere when one least expects it. Remember Cherish Perrywinkle? Walked out of a Walmart with an older man to "buy burgers" . And another little girl in El Paso, also lured out of a Walmart. Both on surveillance video, the perps didn't even care. And then those perverts that snatch children right off the sidewalk, and so many attempted abductions. A mom can be distracted for a few seconds....and boom. I lost my 5 year old kid in a department store once....looking at something on the clothing rack for 3 seconds....and she was gone! I was frantic. She was hiding inside the damn rack...!
So flipping dangerous out there...
I still worry about my kid....and she's 28 now!

Agree.

Wonder why the brother wasn't taken as well?

Is there any reason to suspect a targeted grab of just the female?

Still trying to confirm bio dad status of 2 children at playground. 2 different bio dads? Bio dad of Dulce was 'estranged' from the family per one MSM article I read: Emptiness sets in for Dulce’s family as Amber Alert search for lost 5-year-old continues

Odd circumstances to say the least. Wonder if this is an 'interfamily' issue?

LE have been silent which is also odd IMO for cases like this. Situation simple seems 'off' for some reason.

Read initially that bio dad of Dulce is in Sinaloa and per Mom is in 'school' but then the last MSM article I read said that bio dad and Mom are 'estranged'. Which is it? Has LE tracked down the bio dad of victim and bio dad of 3yo brother?

The 24 witness situation is odd as well. You would think that 1 of the 24 would have seen 2 small children exit the grey car and walk/run to the play area and then make the connection that the single child leaving into a red van didn't fit into the picture?

Also, why not take both children? Perp left a 3 yo witness. Not a high value witness for LE most likely but still a witness. Wish we knew the bio dad situation as there might have been a reason to leave the 3 yo. and just take the 5 yo victim.

On Friday, it looks like the family is still trying to notify the father about Dulce's vanishing. She vanished at 4:30PM on Monday. I would expect the father to be running to the mother together looking for their daughter. Instead, they are having difficulties notifying the university student father even though his daughter's disappearance is all over the international news.

"Dulce’s family is fully cooperating with officials in the investigation and they are actively seeking to speak with Dulce’s father who is not in the United States."

It's rather odd that 24 people were at the park when the 5 year old was abducted, and everyone did not notice. How smooth was the abduction, and what were they thinking when the 3 year old started crying over the ice cream?

Could this be gang or cartel related?

I remember how Hania Aguilar's family was drag through the mud by so many people, their legal status, cartel and gang connections. I see now how this case is going on this forum and it's interesting how the same pattern repeats with Hispanics victims. And by the way Dulce does not look like she has down syndrome at all. All just my opinion. I hope she is found safe soon but is not looking good.
