Yes, those three witnesses did not come forward until Saturday. They are not part of the group that had been interviewed earlier. ImoI believe it was reported Dulce brother Manuel is the one who mentioned the mystery person motioned to Dulce to come here to him. Perhaps the same person who knocked the popsicle from his hand?
I’m not convinced all of the witnesses were necessarily the basketball players. In the below video where the officers/agents are walking the scene with what is believed to be witnesses -there is a small boy holding hands with law enforcement (face blurred) some assume it is Manuel. There is also a woman in a tie dye shirt (face blurred) -to me she seemed more of a mom type figure than someone that would have been playing basketball. Perhaps she was either picking up or dropping off to the park/basketball court and saw something?
Well isn't that just fantastic. So now they're out there roaming free?
The red Van/SUV was caught on video entering the park and 4 minutes later exiting the park at the exact time frame that Dulce went missing.

I am with you as to being confused why your OP was not widely commented upon in the thread as I think it could be highly relevant that violent criminals with sexual crime histories are being released back into the NJ population rather than dealt with by ICE. Having read the Atty Gen of NJ statement on the process of coordination between local LE and ICE, I have to admit to being absolutely confused as to what is going on in NJ. I would also bet LE is confused as well and perhaps that is why what seems to be happening is happening in terms of released prisoners.Yes. And 1 of them them has ties to BRIDGETON and matches description in this case. I posted previously upthread about this but its received very little attention hereand mostly ignored. And at one time deleted until reinstated.
They should have charged them with the crimes then. If they are suspects, charge them.

It appears that ICE is presently very active in NJ given the situation with prisoners being released by local LE but it is unclear whether they have sufficient staffing for the enormous job at hand.
It is also unclear why ICE was unable to coordinate pickup with local authorities or if local authorities simply released the prisoners in advance of ICE arrival.
I do hope the local NJ press is on this situation as it is quite concerning IMO.
MOO
They were charged. Read the information please instead of jumping to conclusions.
I am so sorry, @JillyNJ ! I haven't been on much today and yesterday unfortunately and I missed this entirely. Thank you for posting this again. This makes me utterly sick and disgusted! We're not talking guys in jail for B&E or dealing drugs, which is bad enough, but predators! Seriously, what the hell is going on in NJ and NY that they won't work with ICE to keep them behind bars!Yes. And 1 of them them has ties to BRIDGETON and matches description in this case. The people of NJ must be proud of you too. Your family, your friends, your community. Yourself! You underestimate the reality of deportation. If you saw something vague, of only possible import, and you step forward to share that; you are risking losing your entire family, your home, your children, your job, your whole life. That is a HUGE DEAL for a “maybe”.
ICE just came into NJ this week to make a big show of aggressive arrests. They locked up the father of Noema’s unborn child for his immigration status. This is a VERY BIG DEAL. Asking someone to give up literally everything they hold dear in life, including their own children, to share something that may or may not even be helpful or relevant, is a VERY big deal.
It’s unfair to ask someone to sacrifice their family for someone else’s. Would you give up your child’s safety and security for the possibility that another child might be found? What if what you said turned out to be useless but your child’s safety and security (and yours and that of your whole family) was now gone anyway, simply because you spoke up?
It would be one thing if you knew FOR SURE what you had to say would save this child. But still, asking a parent to sacrifice their own child’s safety for the possibility that another child might be helped is a nearly impossible ask. Asking a parent to sacrifice their own child’s safety and security to ABSOLUTELY help another child is STILL a big ask.
The only way LE could’ve avoided this problem effectively would’ve been to proactively offer some sort of protective custody or witness protection for anyone who came forward. They should’ve done that BEFORE the stepfather of the missing girl was arrested by ICE. In my opinion, that was the last hope for community witness cooperation. After that happened, there would be no real community witnesses no matter what the reward was. Unless the reward was guaranteed instant citizenship, eye witnesses were done coming forward at that point. I said it then and I don’t think that’s changed.
I’m proud of NJ for taking a stand to protect immigrant witnesses (making communities safer) but clearly more must be done. This is a prime example of how dangerous it can be for a community when immigrants feel unsafe talking to LE about crimes they have seen or heard about. It’s so frustrating.
