5-Year Old Bridgeton Girl Missing - Police Request Help [PHOTOS]

A police helicopter hovers close to a wooded area near the playground where little 5 yr old Dulce Maria Alavez was last seen yesterday afternoon in Bridgeton NJ. Authorities say an estimated 60 officers are involved in the search.

Alavez said her “shy” daughter would know not to approach or walk away with a stranger.

“She would always be with me or my mom,” she said. “I don’t know why she just ran away.”

Amber Alert Issued for 5-Year-Old Girl Taken From NJ Park

The man led Dulce from the playground to a red van with a sliding side door and tinted windows. Dulce was seated in the back seat by the man who drove away with her at approximately 4:20 p.m., police said.

Convenience store surveil pics on Bridgeton Police Facebook page were obtained to show what 5 yr old Dulce Maria Alavez was wearing yesterday. She was in the store with her 3 yr old brother,8 yr old relative&mother just before they went to park where she vanished.

The latest Facebook by mother of 5 year old Dulce Maria Alavez. Bridgeton Police put out an Amber Alert last night at 10:05pm, 30 hours after the kindergartner vanished while playing near swings with her 3 year old brother while mom was close by in her car.

Search Expands for Girl Taken From New Jersey Park

Alavez Perez told NJ.com that the girl’s father is in Mexico but still has family in Bridgeton.

During the search Tuesday, an ice cream vendor played his truck’s jingle in the hopes it would catch the girl’s attention and give her direction to follow.
