We absolutely think woods or water is possible. We have mixed stories.. search and rescue did NOT get into the water and search for him in the lakes like we were told before. We want them to search bottom lake and silver lake
Jessica, I am so sorry you still don't have an answer. I can't even begin to imagine what you must be going through.
I feel strongly that the lakes need to be searched ASAP and thoroughly before they completely freeze over for winter.
Is either of the lakes you mentioned the one that's behind the woods, very close to the tavern, not even a quarter mile away (distance based on Google Maps)? Even if Lance didn't fall in accidentally, he could have been put in there by someone else (I hate to even write this ... I am so very sorry).
If you are having a hard time getting the authorities to help, you may even want to go out there yourself (please be very careful, and always make sure to bring someone with you) and start looking. Growing up, my father taught HS. One night, one of his students went out drinking, took a cab home, was dropped off in front of his parents' house, but rather than to go inside, he was quite inebriated and presumably started wandering around. The following morning, when his dad realized his son was nowhere to be found, he went straight to an irrigation ditch that was just yards away from their front door, and found him there.
I really, really hope that Lance is somewhere out there, being taken care of. Have you checked with area hospitals to see if they have admitted anyone who hasn't been able to identify himself, possibly due to head trauma, acute mental health crisis, etc.? I have seen a couple of cases in recent months where this happened (in one case, the man was missing for a little over two weeks, and the entire time, he was at Bellevue).
