Just heard on Fox News that Greta Van Susteran will be covering this story tonight. Here, she's on just 20 minutes from now and it's repeated three hours later. Check you local listings.

Or were the swells so bad that the ship dropped out from under Mindy. I still don't get how Jorge would have known she fell if he wasn't there?

Greta's show::

A reporter says the cruiseline says Jordan was in her stateroom alone when she fell off the balcony and that she fell straight into the water???

Video shows Jordan's boyfriend leaving their cabin and then Jordan goes over the balcony "straight" into the water.

I'd like to hear about the weather/and navigational report documented by the media from the Captain, at the time of death stated.

I'm going between Nancy Grace and Greta as both are covering this story tonight. This is the last airing of NAncy Grace tonight, but Greta is repeated again, so I hope to watch Greta without switching channels. :)

I missed the video as I'm switching back and forth between Greta and Nancy Grace, who is also covering this story tonight. I'll catch all of Greta later, but does the video show rough seas?

The idea of someone "clowning around", in turbulent weather is ludicris. Motion sickness hits pretty hard. Lying in bed is more like it! Not jumping around on balconies.:waitasec:

Greta and Mark Fuhrman discussed a possible explanation. They stated that Jorge may have been with the other couple on their balcony, and he may have encouraged Mindy to try to climb over from their balcony to the friend's balcony.

If the seas were rough, with the storm and winds steadily growing, I'd say there's no way she was trying to balance herself on the wet balconies.
I'll catch the repeat of Greta tonight. Thanks for the heads up.

They didn't show the video..it's the video from the security cameras in the halls and on the outside of the ship. Sorry for the confusion.

Having been on several cruises and seeing the balconies, I just cannot wrap my mind around this intelligent woman climbing on the balcony. :snooty:

Could he have locked her in her room as a joke? Not sure if that could be done. I'd almost buy an intentional suicide as IMO, death would be certain in that weather, rough seas and nine stories above water.

I have never been on a cruise ship but I know what the weather was like here in NJ on sunday and this makes no sense. What intelligent adult is going to try and hop from one balcany to another on a cruise ship? Not only would this women have to have done this very strange thing but she would be doing it when it was really really nasty outside and with it starting to get dark. It just makes no sense. It is hard for me to swollow that the crusine line has footage that tells the tale of a 47 yr old intellegualy intact women deciding of her own free will to hop from one balacany to another during very nasty weather.

The doors automatically open from the inside of cabin. They have the usual credit card entry to open from outside.

Coaxing is possible. But really not plausible, with motion sickness. The other couple were friends of the victims', I want to hear there account of this incident.

I can't wait to hear from their friends. It makes me wonder why we haven't heard anything from them yet.

From the above link.
This is interesting.

In a statement, Norwegian Cruise Lines said the advanced safety and surveillance system operating on Norwegian Dawn, including cameras in the interior hallways and on the exterior sides of the ship, has confirmed that Jordan was in her stateroom alone at the time of the incident

At 7:53 p.m., surveillance cameras from the exterior of the ship capture Jordan falling overboard from her balcony, straight into the water. Shortly thereafter, an emergency call was made from the friends' stateroom and Caputo is seen exiting to seek help.

Caputo told authorities that Jordan was goofing around on their ninth floor balcony trying to climb to the one next door. He claims she fell on something on the deck below and he tried to save her but she lost her grip and fell into the ocean.

Someone here mentioned earlier today, the possibility of her being locked in her room.
I wonder if her boy friend wanted to keep her in the room --for whatever reason--and she was trying to get out?
