It’s probably what she imagined were religious purposes, not anytning real or rational. She may have thought they were possessed by demons, for example. A delusion of some kind.s

My hunch is that it will be more about her feelings (delusions?) about herself and less about what she may have thought about the children.

Very sad situation and my heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy

Thats not what the article states- it says her husband went out of town on a business trip last month. Then goes on to state on May 24th, when she brought the kids home fron the daycare- where she WORKED, she had disturbing thoughts. Yikes, documented history of mental illness and she works at a daycare?

Then the thoughts returned on June 25th, thats when she killed them. Not clear if the husband was in town/home when this happened?

I wonder how religion played a role?

Exactly a month apart.... hmmmmm. IMO one has to be careful about potentially encouraging sexist smack talk, but an association between psychosis and menstrual cycles is a thing.
