GUILTY NJ - Trial of Christopher Gregor Allegedly Beat 6-Year-OId Son to Death #2 *NG murder, Guilty endangering welfare, agg manslaughter*

  • #361
I'm back and forth between this and Ali Abulaban (GUILTY of 1st degree x 2, verdict about ten min ago) but wanted to say...

Lento/Schron and their PowerPoint! YES!!!! INSTEAD of just the ramblings of a madman (Mario) for TWO PLUS hours.....,
this is to be clear and concise, if you were paying attention.

I have to make time to go watch them now. (Mario's rantings were not so helpful for anyone I think? Just a lot of fingerpointing and badmouthing of nurses, doctors and... a sweet kind SCHOOLTEACHER!)

State references the photo.... Corey had no shirt on.

By 2 pm, Corey doesn't look well, his clothes were in the trash, blanket covering bruises....

By 2 pm, Corey was already in distress....

The murder occurred before 2:06..... (I think she means the lethal injuries)

2:13 wanna talk on the phone?

State, I know it's hard to fathom the disregard for his son's life....

Searches unconscious.... sleepy... vomiting...

Still texting Marci about their plans, even while he has Corey in the ER....

While Corey was dying.

Corey lost consciousness by 3:08 (I think I have the time right).

Didn't call 911. No life saving measures.

After a 15 minute call with his mother, he takes Corey to the hospital. So Corey doesn't die at his house.

Doesn't get Corey to the ER until 3:48. Because he doesn't care. Won't tell Bre which hospital he's going to.

Corey is in critical condition, in the back of CG's car. With towels.

No 911.

State references the hospital stills, Corey's head falls back. CG does not express any urgency....

Corey's condition, agonal breathing....

CG says nothing about injury....

Not acting like a concerned or caring father.... with a limp child ... makes excuses...

Nurse describes CG as emotionless.

Not the reaction you'd expect from a parent...

CG tells then not to call Corey's mom, she's a drug addict.

Didn't tell medical professionals that Corey lost consciousness, only criticism of Bre. Didn't tell medical staff crucial details when they mattered most.

One-handed CPR. Corey codes and seizes. They get a pulse back.

State says CG flees, ways to get out of there, tears only for himself.

He ignores Bre's messages, calls his parents, leaves, casually gets in his car, drives away....

If you didn't know why your son died, you'd be screaming for answers.

CG knew what he did.

He doesn't scream at Bre either. He knows what HE died.

He is gone before his parents arrive, leaves them to clean up his mess.

Wait until Mario needs the medical/hospital staff to provide care.

Within the hour, after his 6 year old dies, can my phones be tracked?

Puts phone in airplane mode until the next day....

He's in Arkansas, near Texas border.

Flight is evidence of consciousness of guilt.

How fast is he going?

This is not grief.

Meets girlfriend at airport. No longer encumbered by Corey.

Only turns around because his father talks to him.

  • #367
Defendant deletes all his text messages with Bre before turning his phone over to LE. Manually deletes....

  • #368
State is emphasizing CG's searches -- bleeding, autopsy...

CG didn't care or even really know his son...

Investigation begins immediately....

The defendant did this to his son.

Corey was silly and smart and was murdered by his father, the person who was supposed to protect him.

His final act of abuse, ultimate victim of abuse.

6 year olds don't just die. Neither did Corey.

Court excuses jury until tomorrow.

Admonishes them that they cannot deliberate or discuss until after they get jury instructions tomorrow. 9 am.

State did an excellent job. Clear, effective.

Corey is dead because was angry with Bre, didn’t care about Corey and cared only for himself.

He didn't even call 911.

Y’all they’re still doing closings this late in the afternoon?? I haven’t had a chance to watch anything today. Wow.

They went until at least 5 or 5:15pm I think! (Law&Crime livestream is on 30min delay I think they said?)

I hope that one juror made it to the wedding she needed to attend!

Thank you, team Lento / Schron- for your PowerPoint and for not leaving anything out.

Just watching Christopher's face and jaws as Lento speaks about the abuse inflicted by his own father... if only Christopher felt free to make an outburst. I kind of wish he would!!!

People. Thankyou for the concise conveyance of this utter horror of a closing argument by Mario. What a travesty, What a disgraceful vomitous smear to try and deflect responsibility for a murder of a child.

'I'm not trying to blame Breanna! ' says Mario, all faux concern. Dressed like a tailors worst nightmare, middle aged Gangsta look, dropping his voice now and then, harping on and on, I gagged a few times, then I had to stop it. This is where the posters who put this up are so invaluable. I do not understand why Mario is talking to the jury as if they are kindergarteners. The dreary slowness, the over enunciation, the patronising babble. Too dreadful.

I will catch up with the prosecutors closing very soon, it is a working day for me here. But Mario. Whatever Grandpa Gregor paid, he dudded his money.

can't even take the kid he has "custody" of to the hospital without wasting 15 minutes with Mom on phone. Can't even turn around from cowardly trajectory towards the border without Dad and Mom telling him to come back. Then the girlfriend has to hold his hand. In person, as he speeds around. What a creep. He's exactly the kind who would take out his frustrations on a tiny boy. Never done anything substantial on his own.

Mario, mario, what a clown., 'forget about the treadmill"' !' cries Mario. 'Nothing to do with the childs death !'..

poor poor Bree, what a terrible terrible time for her, to have this man make mock of ... .. well.. really.. he is mocking Corey's death. It is reprehensible.

Did anyone ever figure out yet if the possible verdicts are limited to murder, the 2 kinds of manslaughter? That "endangerment" would be tried only if this effort fails? Still confused on that one.

  • #378
oh my god, Mario has been rehearsing this over and over, and has run himself into a brick wall, he has fallen in love with his own ridiculous voice and cannot bring himself back into reality. Offensive in the extreme.

Me too. I still am under the apprehension that he has a separate trial for the treadmill. How that goes if Mario is his lawyer on that one, is anyone 's guess, because Mario will have to impeach himself. He can't tell the same treadmill story he is floating in this trial, in a child endangerment trial, I don't think.

Lord , lord, still Mario, acting like a very bad Widow Twanky in a 4th rate pantomime... screeching, whispering, hollering, snarling, hissing, ...
