I wish there was more info on the items in her possession - I believe a see a raquet - tennis, raquetball, etc.

Raton is only 10 miles south of the Colorado border, off of I-25 (which runs north all the way into Wyoming). Raton, I believe based on some searching, is and has been the location of the NM Welcome Center.
