GUILTY NM - Renezmae Calzada, 5, found deceased, Rio Arriba County, 8 Sept 2019 *Arrest*

If LE suspects the one they have arrested on the other charges is her kidnapper, they would have learned by now if there is any familiar connection with him, and with both or either side of RCs familiy.

I'm extremely worried. Each hour that passes more dread sits in.

If it is true that this man was home with the child, supposedly caring for her, when she was last seen at 9:30 am, and he didn't report her missing to anyone, including her Mother, until Mom returned home from work at 6:3o or so----then that is a big red flag.

If her parents weren't involved, then who was watching her that day? She was last seen @ 9:30 am, not reported missing until dinner time? What was happening the rest of the day? Who was responsible for her then?

All I can figure is that maybe the man they arrested was supposed to be watching her?

Replying to myself. I think that is what happened here. Mom calls to report her child missing that evening. Police arrive and ask who was watching her and when she was last seen. Obviously, his answers weren't satisfying the cops curiosity.

So they put him on ice for his traffic warrants, while they sort this out. Where did he think his 5 yr old was all day?

I swear I had previously read that a vehicle description or license plate was needed for Amber Alerts, but I'm assuming I am remembering the alert criteria for a different state.

If it was the boyfriend who Renezmae was staying with and he didn't report to the mom she was missing I fear the outcome on this. Is the boyfriend the father of the other child? LE stated they don't believe the parents are involved, so if the boyfriend is not the father of Renezmae and he is in custody than yikes all around.
The kid cases really get me.

The article says Mom "filed a petition last month to establish child support from Torres and visitation with both children." It doesn't specifically STATE he is Renezmae's father....but if the visitation was with both children, then it would seem he is the dad of both....but....?

That answers a number of questions, now doesn't it?

According to the mother’s Facebook page, she was at work and the girl was with the mother’s boyfriend. It was when she got home, around 8 p.m., that he told her Renezmae was missing.

Mom has boyfriend; boyfriend becomes stepdad (?); stepdaughter goes missing after court involvement; story/timeline doesn't add up; stepdad detained (no bond); stepdad not a good guy (bad record).

So, so sad!!! She's absolutely adorable!!!

perhaps to document her rights? I sure hope this isn't another boyfriend hurting child situation but based on his late night arrest - if I am understanding the MSM articles correctly and he is the one arrested - this does not bode well for this sweet little girl IMO.

I think if the boyfriend were the little girl's father, he would be listed as such rather than referred to as the "boyfriend." If he is the dad of the other child (Renezmae's brother), then it wouldn't be unheard of for him to want some visitation with Renez. Maybe they had a good relationship? Who knows... The information out there right now is a bit all over the place with the mom and boyfriend living together but potential petitions for child support and visitations. Maybe they were about to split up, and she was getting her ducks in a row? With his previous arrests for drunk driving, perhaps alcohol was a factor in her petitioning the courts in case she did leave him. Lots of different theories and reasons, I am purely speculating!

He is not a party to any case I found with a filing from last month. However, the other party in two prior cases involving him is involved with another case that has two other parties (neither is him and a guardian involved) that did have a filing last month.
