GUILTY NM - Renezmae Calzada, 5, found deceased, Rio Arriba County, 8 Sept 2019 *Arrest*

He is not a party to any case I found with a filing from last month. However, the other party in two prior cases involving him is involved with another case that has two other parties (neither is him and a guardian involved) that did have a filing last month.
Sounds like KRQE screwed up. I don't think we can sleuth him anyway since LE has not named him a POI or suspect. MOO

Wow, you’d think getting more info would make things LESS confusing... I’m under the impression that he’s not her bio dad but she uses the word dad to describe him. It’s possible that LE only meant bio parents when they spoke about not thinking they were involved...

I agree. And while the media is not being helpful in all of this, law enforcement isn't straightening any of it out either.

Trying to get child support from the boyfriend? Huh?

This is my thinking as well which would potentially explain the visitation rights. I think LE meant bio parents were not involved but then that makes it a scarier situation for Renezmae since the boyfriend was watching her and now someone in custody (on unrelated charges).

If it is true that this man was home with the child, supposedly caring for her, when she was last seen at 9:30 am, and he didn't report her missing to anyone, including her Mother, until Mom returned home from work at 6:3o or so----then that is a big red flag.

And, once again, we hear that the suspect is the mother's boyfriend who was caring for the little girl.

Such a sweet, lovely child.

I just wish these news stories would stop. Mother's boyfriend - prior history of issues - child left with said boyfriend, child disappears. :(

I sincerely hope she is found alive, but we all know where the mind goes with these horrible cases. She is just such a beautiful little girl.

I wonder if he has an EX who is trying to get child support from him....or if she is trying to get child support from HER ex....obviously there has been a confusing error in reporting.....

Which is making the whole story confusing.

It sounds like the biological Father was across the state, not a suspect. The Mother's BF was apparently "watching" her. Shades of Maleah...again.

A group of women from Espanola gathered this morning to hang these yellow ribbons at the Sheriffs Office for missing 5 year-old Renezmae Calzada. Hear from them at 4 @krqe

Well I tried to read through everything , but I'm confused.
So my only thoughts is I hope I'm wrong and I really really pray she is found safe.

Another little girl missing..Oh my heart breaks again, and I do not have a good feeling about this.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope to God I am wrong.

So, who last saw little Renezmae playing in the yard at 9:30 am? Did that come from the man watching her or the man who was arrested; or are they the same person? And the man charged with watching her did not alert anyone she was missing? Best case scenario I can think of is that the man sent her to relatives elsewhere. Worst case - well we've seen it all too often on here.
