#LeviChavez said he didn't think Tera was seeing anyone else said, "I thought she was obsessed with trying to get me back"

Yeah Levi says he was shocked. I can imagine he was. His enormous ego wouldn't tolerate that kind of betrayal. No evidence but in my heart I think he knew Tera had a lover before he killed her.

I am confused....Mr. Chavez says he was living at his mom's house.....he was staying at Debra's house.....but after Tera's death his dad brought him clothes from the house he had at one time shared with Tera. And he bought other clothes while Tera was still alive at Walmart......Just exactly where was he living?

He was basically couch surfing but he was mainly with his Momma unless he was screwing somebody and then he was at their house for a while and he had been doing this for a long time even before he killed Tera.

This is the longest and hardest that Serna has worked for the past 5 weeks.

  • #3,084
Are they out for lunch?

  • #3,085
This is tit for tat.......as Serna says Tera and her lover........cause the dead person had one lover maybe, but the defendant had at least two........and certainly many more during the marriage.

Lunch Recess back at 115. McKay and Keener better be on that cross like white on rice like they did during morning break.

We're getting a look at the jurors as they leave for lunch.

I am back and reading all of your post. Thank you all for these.

I can already tell by listening to LC that he is not happy about testifying. I can hear it in his breathing. He keeps sighing and why all this blaming Tera for what happened.

I noticed, and I believe the jury understood it too, that both of the defense's expert witnesses when under cross admitted that they had not have that information, or documents, or were not made aware of certain things.

Like serna is telling or showing only what he wants to the experts so he gets the answers he wants.

Isn't that unethical as all getout?

BBM
I agree it's unethical and it's exactly what Nurmi and Wilmott did for Arias! Total manipulation. I guess defense attorneys have to resort to that when they are defending a cold blooded killer.

I missed that. After lunch recesses I will be listening in my car as I wait for the kids at their rehearsal. Darn it. I will have WS on one phone and the trial streaming on another but depending on my 3G up in the mountains sometimes it is hard to reply on WS we will see.

I just saw his wife smiling and laughing.. I guess she doesn't mind being married to a cheater and killer. Then again, the new one always thinks, "he'll never cheat on ME".

CK - I just started watching about 20 minutes before they broke for lunch, and when LC walked back to his people he went straight to his Dad, but I thought I saw his wife, wiping tears....she has on a white/cream outfit. I think it was her but not for sure. If it WAS his wife, LC didn't go to her to console her or say something. I thought it was interesting he went straight to his Dad.

I hope the jury is not buying his performance and that they pick up on all of the subtleties because there has been a bunch i.e, he was shocked that she was cheating on him. Who in the hell does he think he is, really? Omg unbelievable. So Narcissistic and that is a disease.

serna ' how were you feeling about yourself when you found your wife dead'

WTF?

That is the last thing I want to know about even if I don't believe that he killed her. He was such a major fail as a husband I don't care about his 'feelings' one bit.

Why would you ask a client a question like that? How you were feeling about yourself! That was a horrible question! imo

It's done, it's disgusting, but not uncommon. Remember, they are being paid to say what one side or the other wants them to say. So the questions are posed to elicit certain responses.

I went back and read your initial thoughts/post about expert witnesses to make sure I read it correctly the first time. They come to trial to testify on behalf of whatever side is paying them. As the witness said the other day, sometimes when they finish their reports, if the side that hired them is not happy with the report and or findings--meaning that they don't get the slant or info they were seeking, they pay them but do not call them to testify. In law (sorry CJ) there are so many way to manipulate the outcomes of everything. Such as the few experts we have seen in this trial, their testimony has been paradoxical. But we all know that that's what expert witnesses do. Each side hires their own experts to counter-balance the testimony of the other side.
I am in full agreement that Serna probably omitted several facts and maybe even entire documents from his so called expert witnesses so they would skew their findings in favor of the defense. It's not ethical, but I don't think Serna is ethical. I think he has probably had many cases before this judge in the past and knows how far he can push and get by with it. That's why I'm somewhat disappointed in McKay, this morning he sounded so meek and almost afraid each time he made an objection. Actually, I couldn't even hear him clearly but once. I can understand that he probably felt it was in vain before he ever stood up because we have all said from the first day Serna has this judge in his pocket in some capacity. However, McKay should never, ever appear weak in front of the jury no matter what. Regardless of what he is saying, he should say it boldly and loudly and with authority.
But back to expert testimony, it can get twisted, distorted and plain old turned upside down and sometimes there is nobody there to disprove it so the jury goes with what they hear.

What a great observation. This man thinks of woman as lower than gutter scum and gutter scum actually has a purpose so I don't mean to insult it. I do notice that with these wife killers they have some weird relationship with there mothers and from things McKay brought up when crossing the fruit loop mother the dad is a real 🤬🤬🤬 so the apple did not fall far from the tree.

Serna has gotten Levi to say he has felt guilty many times during LC's testimony. It's all for appearances sake in my opinion.
I can't remember, did LC ever take a polygraph? Anybody know, and if so, the results?

I AGREE! I have thought this all along, and who's to say this isn't the ONE thing that drove him over the edge enough to blow her away. He didn't care or respect her one iota but his ego wasn't about to let his wife cheat on him. He is nothing but a low-life 🤬🤬🤬 and I hope it's Anne Keener who does the cross on LC. Let's see how many "tears" he sheds then.

I saw that, too, NC! I think the camera man may have dozed off or something. I couldn't believe I was seeing the jurors leave the room!

OMG so true...it sure does fit. I can see that. I hope it is Keener to because Levi hates women.
