Amonet, how likely is it the mother here would even recognize the problem in her child, if she chose to marry the father
who likely had the same mental defects?
I do believe these tendencies run in families and are passed down to the children whether by nature/and/or nuture.

BBM

I do too, but I thinks it's more-so inherited. However, it's not so simple as, just don't date that guy/girl. People with mental health issues can become good at hiding their mental health issues, addictions, or whatever else, or, will take meds for awhile until they don't think they need them anymore. Sometimes it skips a sibling, but it will then hit that sibling's offspring. There is no way to just say, Don't date this person, because... A lot of folks never see that side until they've are already married that person and are living under the same roof with them.

evening news just said "the FBI has said they are making sure she gets on a plane to come back to Vegas on Wed."
Sounds like she may have an FBI escort or two.
My guess this is why she's now called a POI, she may not have been too co-operative to return otherwise. Just reading between the lines here.

I don’t think it’s known if she’s a US citizen or not, so I am really curious if she has to come back or not. Any legal experts here that can maybe give some insight? It seems tricky to me since she’s an Australian citizen and I am guessing a Philippines citizen. What is her legal obligation to return if she is a US citizen and if she is not?

I am not a lawyer, but it's hard for me to believe she is obligated to come back. Even if she were an US citizen, why would she be obligated to come back? US citizens are free to move as they please. She isn't a suspect/hasn't been named as one, so she can't be extradited either.

I am curious to know weather this has been corroborated too, I find it strange, maybe she knew the perpetrator somehow or for those who believe maybe she was psychic ?

That's what I was thinking. Not that I believe in psychics, but remember the tv show "Medium."

I don't think so but I have seen it. The face picture, right?

Ahhh got it....yes, I have photos of his guns and his face after he killed himself. People are saying he had the number 13 tattooed on his neck though. Looked like a fake tattoo to me

Slightly o/t but something that fellow WSers might understand or get a chuckle out of during all of this horribleness. When I was reading the news the morning after this tragedy struck I saw a familiar face staring at me from a related article. I almost fell out of my chair. It was the mugshot of the shooter's father Benjamin Hoskins Paddock.

This was the face that haunted my nightmares as a child. Not because I had any involvement with him or with his crimes but because my best friend and I were true crime obsessed. We repeatedly checked out this little orange book about the FBI's most wanted from our elementary school library and this guy was in it.

In our little seven year old minds, Benjamin Hoskins Paddock was the scariest thing on the face of the earth. We'd spend hours on the sidewalks of our tranquil suburban neighborhood, casing the cars as they went by and hoping to catch a glimpse of him or one of the other creeps in the book so that we could call it in to the FBI.

For over thirty years we have made references to BHP and how someday we might have helped capture him. I remember last year trying to find that mug shot so I could email it to her as a joke and it wasn't easy to find! After I picked my jaw up off of the floor yesterday I immediately sent a message to my friend to tell her about this bizarre blast from the past. Weirdly enough, I now live very close to where BHP was finally arrested.

Anyway, just a silly little story where my adult and childhood worlds strangely collided in the aftermath of a horrible tragedy.

I suppose anything is possible, it is strange.

-Do you mean *not a POI* as far as her not being there shooting along side him? If LE was specific on that I missed it.
Yes that is was I mean. She went to being a suspect/POI to them saying she was not a POI. Now she is very much a person of interest. This is from the pressers and you can also go through the posts from yesterday and see where it was stated she is not a POI.

There are some pieces I'm still confused about.

Paraphrasing here, need full transcript, but for now, the the female witness in the blue shirt celebrating her 21st birthday said via interview with a reporter that she and her companion(s) left and went back to their hotel about 10 or 15 minutes before the shooting because she felt uncomfortable about the woman saying they were all going to die. She said his woman was also harassing another woman in front of her with similar words. As I understand it she, the person being interviewed, notified security because it was making her and others uncomfortable and they escorted the female out. When asked, she gave a description that they were both hispanic, gave their approx heights and basically said they just looked like average people. She also said she wasn't sure if the female was saying this to warn them , or if she was saying it like she was part of it.

So, how did this woman know people were going to die?

Has security or the other woman commented on this, etc?

The quote I was replying to.

That's encouraging. It's possible the amount of evidence found at their home indicates she could possibly be considered an accessory to murder, simply for knowing in advance of his plans.

Sure, she needs legal representation. She may have known nothing about his plans or was unaware that he was stockpiling explosives and bomb making materials in their home. LE needs to question her, though, to determine what was going on.

I will not be surprised if she suddenly refuses to return to the US. Does anyone know if she's a US citizen?

I never delete mine. I have 50GB of iCloud space with Apple that costs me less than a $1 a month (I've only used 12gb of 50gb so I have a little time yet!). Just never think of deleting them. Then when I get a new phone, they transfer over with iCloud because I always just get a new iPhone.

Ditto. Mine go back to September 2013 which is when I got my iPhone 5. I have no plans to upgrade :)

Stephen Paddock sent more than $100,000 to someone in the Philippines, right before the massacre.

I believe she is returning. In the pc a couple hrs ago they said they expect a boat load of info over the next 48 hrs and also believe they will have a motive for this shooting.

I met a cashier at the Dollar Tree ( love that store ) who was from the Philippines and she was complaining about the taxes for everything here in the US, she said they do not have taxes in the Philippines where she owned a house, so I said yeah look at your roads LOl she agreed, we also talked about how much father a dollar goes in the Philippines so 100 grand over there is like how much here? A lot I would imagine. Wonder if he was setting her up to llive back home, whether or not she knew what he was about to do remains to be seen... She would have been very wealthy with that kind of money.

Las Vegas shooting: Marilou Danley’s last known visit to Queensland in 2012

The nephew of Marilou Danley says he met her partner Stephen Paddock twice last year and on both times he was kind and respectful.

Jordan Knights, 23, from Beenleigh, said he travelled to Las Vegas in October last year where he was introduced to Paddock by his aunty.

The pair went to family lunches at a casino.

“He was a normal person pretty much,” Mr Knights said.

Friends told The Courier-Mail that during about a decade in Australia she had been married to a Queensland man who worked in advertising.

Ms Danley had worked with her husband for at least some of the time as a bookkeeper, and had also had a role during Expo 88 in Brisbane, friends said.

Together they raised her daughter from a previous relationship and Ms Danley became an Australian citizen.

It's terrible to think that there might be a possibility she (perp's gf) had a premonition and could have warned about this attack. Just saying. :(
Hope not.

It wasn't perps gf who was supposedly saying people were going to die. Perps gf left US several weeks ago.
