Seems Adrian is now a suspect. Sad but not surprising.

This makes me sadder. I pray he didn't do anything, but either wasn't at home, or was abducted or scared and hiding...or anything other than being a suspect in the murders of his brother and mother. That's so sad!!!

I was afraid of this, and LE already have the charging documents made up so they seem pretty certain. If only teens realized that things get better, that situations that cause violence, either outside ..homicide or inside..suicide, life changes..they can leave the home and make a life for themselves with friends and even have nothing to do with their family when they turn 18

Teen Missing After Mom, Brother Found Dead
BY ELIZABETH HAGEDORN The search for a Nevada teen has entered its fourth day — after police found his mother and brother stabbed to death last week. Police found the bodies of Elvira Canales and her 9-year-old son, Cesar Navarro, in their first floor apartment Friday. Relatives had become concerned after the two hadn’t shown up to work or school in several days, and asked police to do a welfare check on the home. (Via KSNV) Still missing is 16-year-old Adrian Navarro — Canales’ other son. Officers say he wasn’t at the home when they arrived to search it. (Via KVVU) According to the Las Vegas Sun, the boy’s father, who lives in California declined to speak with reporters about his sons. As of Sunday evening, police, along with relatives, hadn’t speculated on a motive. But police say the missing teenager isn’t being considered a suspect and urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to speak up. “We’re just going to be looking for him everywhere. Every possible spot. Every store. Every possible spot.” (Via KTNV) Family members are planning a memorial for Canales, and are hoping Adrian will attend.

Gosh, I just don't understand what would happen to make a 16yr old, that I believe just turned 16, have enough hatred to kill his sibling and Mom. I just don't get it! In my heart, I don't think he truly is involved with the actual murders... :twocents:

Police have been looking for Adrian Navarro-Canales since his mother and brother were found dead in their Henderson apartment around noon on Friday. At first, police believed he might also be a victim, but by Sunday, there was probable cause to arrest him for murder.

According to police, a warrant was filed Monday charging Adrian Navarro-Canales as an adult with two counts of murder in the stabbing death of his mother, Elvira Canales-Gomez, 40, and Cesar Navarro, 9.

Police were called to the apartment on Eastern Avenue near Sunridge Heights Parkway when it was reported that the woman hadn't shown up at work since Tuesday. The children hadn't shown up at school.
Police said there have been no calls for service to the apartment prior to the slaying.
The coroner will identify the deceased and their respective causes of death in the coming days.

Henderson Police are investigating the deaths of a mother and her son in the 11000 block of South Eastern Avenue near Sunridge Heights Parkway. Investigators said police were called to the apartment for a welfare check when the 40-year-old woman did not show up for work. Her 9-year-old and 16-year-old sons also did not show up to school.

Officers arrived around noon on Friday and found the woman and her younger son dead. The woman's teen son, Adrian Navarro, has not been located and is considered missing. The teen is not considered a suspect at this time.
Detectives are following up on leads in the case, but at this time no suspect or motive has been identified.

Investigators said Adrian Navarro, the teen son of Canales-Gomez, who also lived at the apartment, hasn't been seen since Wednesday. Police originally did not consider Adrian Navarro a suspect in the case when they looked to the public for help on his whereabouts.
Police, though, said detectives by Sunday had probable cause to arrest the teen in connection to the slayings.

On Saturday, the missing teenager's father, who is also named Adrian Navarro, said he doesn't want his son to be afraid. He begged his son to find a way to call his family.

"They killed them and they ripped a piece of me," the victim's niece, Anna Karen Martinez, said today. "She was more like my best friend than my aunt. Now I have no one to run and talk to about my problems at home or anything and now she has got taken away from me."

Martinez said she spoke with her aunt daily. She said she called police Thursday when she had not heard from her aunt in several days.

Paul said on Friday that the 16-year-old is not considered a suspect. The boys' father lives in California and has declined comment.

Police could not say how long the bodies had been inside the residence.

Canales was a chef at The Venetian, according to her family.

Detectives now are searching for Canales’ eldest son, Adrian Navarro, 16, who was missing from the home when officers arrived. His involvement in the death of his relatives, if any, remained unknown late Friday.
“It’s killing me,” Martinez said. “I just want him back. What if somebody did this to them and took him?”

I noticed that as well, but no mention of name. Guess he isn't considered a suspect? Would that have been enough to set a young man off enough to kill his family? Hope police know about this man and have talked to him. JMO...

So on Monday, they threw Adrian a 16th birthday party at home. On Tuesday, he allegedly murders mom and brother, texts his mom's boyfriend and disappears.
