September 2022: conducted surveillance of Robert Telles.
9/1: in vehicle.
Prosecutor Pam Weckerly shows pic of BMW? SUV. Tolliver says Telles was driving this vehicle.
Cross examination by defense attorney Robert Draskovich.
Asks if she was involved in surveillance on 9/6.
She says yes.
Says he was cleaning exterior of his three vehicles for about 2 & 1/2 hours:
BMW, Tesla & Yukon.
She says he entered Yukon briefly but didn’t move it.
Weckerly asks about camera on exterior of Telles home:
Tolliver:
No camera on 9/1.
Yes camera on 9/6.

Re: Downloaded security app. Draskovich asks if it’s reasonable if someone knows someone who was killed that they may be concerned about their own security.

Gatus recalls release of images (vehicle/suspect) to public on 9/5/22 & 9/6/22 asking for public’s help.
Says police received many tips.
Some tips pointed to Telles.
Gatus then reviewed articles German wrote about Telles.
Describes them as “not flattering.” Reads headlines.
Gatus discussing social media posts (on Twitter) by Telles about German.
Telles post refers to German as a “typical bully,” and a “one trick pony.”
Now reviewing text messages Telles appears to have posted.
German reaches out to Telles about another story he is working on.
Letter dated 7/1/22 where Telles disputes allegations German wrote about.
Now shifting to maroon Yukon. Extensive search for video. Detective Mogg took control and started compiling it in a chronological manner.

Asked for sample to be expedited bc it was a dynamic investigation.
Other detectives do warrant at home of Telles.
Weckerly notes security cams on house on 9/6.
Not there on 9/1.
Found at home of Telles:
Cut up tennis shoe.
Shoulder bag (similar bag seen in video of suspect).
Straw hat cut up in numerous pieces.
They take Telles back to home.
Less than an hour later, they learn DNA is a match & try to arrest him.
He is later taken into custody.
