Oh, how sad. The most recent season of Intervention featured a woman living in the Las Vegas tunnels. It's heartbreaking to hear those stories. Notably, the residents of the tunnels come from all over.

This woman's tattoos look professional. She must have had the means to get them at some point. There are a lot of orgs that work with the tunnel population, I wonder if any of them would recognize her tattoos....

You're completely right about Rasputin! I was thinking it was a funky looking Jesus, but too well done not to be intentional

If it is Rasputin, then we could be looking at some sort of wanderer or someone of Russian heritage. The fact that there's a "god" tattoo above it makes me think the UP had some sort of connection with Rasputin. Rasputin was a mystic wanderer so perhaps this person may not be reported missing if she tneded to wander around. I hope some of the other tattoos are detailed to maybe give some other hints.

I'm going to say that is not a bird tattoo...but a phoenix tattoo on her right upper arm. There is so much red going on at the bottom, and the position of the wings have me leaning that way. It's also, not a very well done tattoo. JMHO

im wondering if there was some marring of the skin due to drying/decomp.

Very petite at 4ft 11 and 55lbs, possible substance misuse or mental illness might be at play.
Her size and the distinctive tattoos should make her easily identifiable

She appears to be mummified so if they weighed her she was probably very very dried out.

I agree about the style, but also thought it might be flipped in the opposite direction in the image and faded/deteriorated from decomposition? Decided it was worth a go. If I hear anything, will update.

Turns out I don't look very closely when I'm half asleep! Still think she needs submitting to rule out though

Right, it is confusing. I also found some sort of family court/domestic violence (?) case filed under one of the names in early December of 2020, so a few days at least after her recorded DLC.

She grabbed my interest in addition to the tattoo and it's location matching the deceased because her family describes her as vulnerable. It also sounds as though she traveled around previously. So maybe something there that could have caused her to leave and/or have a breakdown and live homeless? I'm not 100% convinced either, but enough to think someone should take a look.

Edited to add: and at 5 ft tall, she is petite. I think the deceased remains are what weighed in at 55 pounds, not that was the actual living weight of an adult person, but the height is on target, and if it is Misti/Nico, she could have dropped *some^ weight if she was living underground, etc.

This is a really sad case.

I was going to submit Nico as well. As soon as I saw the reference to a Phoenix tattoo. It would appear a lot has happened in the year she has been away from home. 55 lbs? How incredibly sad.

I flipped it and overlayed Nico/Misti's tattoo. There are a couple of small things I noticed that match up. Definitely worth a shot...
