I think he probably dug the grave before her kidnapped her. MOO

I think he certainly scouted out the area.

This sort of feature would catch my attention. These are truckloads of mine tailings. If you buried someone under one of those they would never been found, as no one is going to put that rock back into the mine.

I think this got so much attention for two reasons, one outside of his control and the other entirely within his control. He probably didn’t know she was a diplomats daughter so that brought a lot of publicity on accident.

The part that was completely within his control that caused this to get a lot of publicity in my opinion is that he stalked her, carjacked her, abducted her ON CAMERA. Video of the whole thing!

And if that wasn’t enough, at a bus stop in front of other people waiting for the bus! Just walking up and strong-arming her, in public in front of other people and on camera.

It’s insane how bold and brazen that was. Really makes me think he’s gotten away with kidnapping before, if not many times before. It’s almost like he couldn’t stop himself anymore and subconsciously wanted to get caught.

CAP2796/CAP2796 There is a Civil Air Patrol Cessna Skyhawk up over the Highway 50 route between Silver Springs and the Hazen area. I don't know if CAP has an official LE function in regards to this investigation but this is curious.

Extremely desolate. Extremely dry rocky or salty alkaline dried up lakebed. Highway 95 and a railroad runs 5o miles along the western edge of this region, known as the Carson Sink, or the Fallon Wildlife Refuge, but it is little traveled. It would connect the towns of Fallon with Lovelock but would not be considered a major road, except by those that needed to commute to a mine in the region or the Nevada State Prison in Lovelock.

I think it's more likely that his truck GPS showed the route.

That would mean that the suspect drove to the shallow grave a second time, after returning Naomi's car to the Sherwin-Williams.

Naomi was abducted in her car. If he returned to the site, he would not have driven there in his truck after photos of his truck were released.

he likely already did since he went a few places with his coworker.

Why do people keep ignoring the ickedmel video? I think the coworker sounded pretty credible.

The co-worker did not give any information that related at all to where her body was found.

His locations were about 120 miles east of where she was found.

That document was confusing to me. It has TD's name and address at the top as if it is addressed to him, but the greeting is "Dear Ms. O_____," who is listed as a cc?
Looks like he is filing a complaint against the school board for violating open meeting laws.

Where is the eyeroll emoji?????

YES! Somehow he must have known there weren't many other people waiting for the bus (or were there? Not sure we've found that out...). It also seems that it'd have been "easier" to deal with someone with a smaller frame, so that makes this a bit odd.

I wonder if when they searched the area where she was finally located if they were able to detect tire tracks in that type of soil. Perhaps he drove off a "road" (using the term loosely, that is, for an existing "path" in that desert area) and perhaps they could see tire tracks leading to nowhere, from the air, if they were doing aerial scans. Given that she was a plus size woman, she may not have been easy for him to move so I'm thinking her poor body was found not far from a road/path or wherever he was able to drive to. That is, he didn't drag her up the side of a mountain.

I haven't seen it described as a "shallow grave".

I'm not sure about the triangulation of both cars and the grave. Ocam's Razor must be the answer but the answer is still not forthcoming.

It definitely seems to be circling repeatedly over certain areas.

Not likely to be able to discover tire tracks. I think he was on rocky mining roads in the area. Even the area nearer the flat alkali flat part of Carson Sink has graveled roads ( like the road to Lovelock Cave).

It's about 1500 ft above the ground. Not sure what you would see at that level. Maybe following up on drone leads?

I agree with all of this. The fact that it was caught on camera was shocking. The fact, as others have stated, that she was just living her life like all of us do every day was absolutely horrifying.

But, also, the fact that she was just an 18 year old who no one could find reason to fault--no "skimpy" attire, no night of partying, no drinking and drugs, no bad choice of SO. If any of those things are true, people have a much harder time jumping on board to care and publicize the case. If any of those things are true AND the victim is a minority, then there is no chance.

There is a REMSA Careflight helicopter leaving Fallon for Reno. I don't see any report of traffic accidents along that stretch of Highway 50 where the CAP plane is.

So so so true.

She doesn't seem at all that she was a teenager indulging in risky behaviour at all. She was waiting to go to work for a 12 hour shift !!!

How many of you know 18 year olds who have regular jobs that have 12 hour shifts?

I initially thought that the sites he visited with his co-worker included the location where he left Naomi's body. However, I'm not sure there is a mine at this location.

"Gravesite" indicates buried, and I'm assuming that he did not dig 6 feet down to bury her.

"Investigators found the 18-year-old's body at a gravesite in an undisclosed area of Churchill County, the sheriff's office confirmed Wednesday, just hours after her accused kidnapper appeared in court via Zoom."

Regarding vehicles, we know that she was abducted in her car, and that his truck was seen near her car several hours later in the day. That suggests that she was taken to that gravesite in her car. That means his truck GPS does not help to locate that gravesite unless he returned to that gravesite in his truck at a later time.

His locations were about 120 miles east of where she was found.

When I first heard the video of the former co-worker, my first thoughts were, and I stated at that time, that he seemed like some guy with an axe to grind with LedCor, for being fired, and by attempting to get an audience to point a finger at TD, who was arrested with apparently no help from him, he also made sure to connect him to LedCor at every opportunity. I do not believe anything he said about TD "possibly" hiding evidence at this mine and that mine, and yadda yadda. Any of TD's alleged work absences can, and I sure have been checked by LE. I thought then, and still do, that the co-worker was primarily looking for his 15 minutes. JMO
