The open murder charge includes a Nevada Weapons Enhancement by including the “deadly weapon” which means they can include a longer sentencing. It can actually double a criminal sentencing!

“NRS 193.165 is the Nevada law that increases the sentence for use of a deadly weapon (such as a gun or knife) in the commission of a felony, unless use of the weapon was already an element of the crime. This deadly weapon enhancement can double a criminal sentence, adding an additional 1-to-20 years of prison time.”

No she reported it twice I think. You have to watch GH for that.
She also doesn't want her name out there.
No she's not making it about her. She was angry they didn't do anything with her info.

She saw a man in a car, perhaps a man who thought he knew her. He left. She's fine. The man wasn't driving a truck - Troy drives a personal or work truck. The man didn't interfere with her. What would be her complaint - that a man in a car in a public parking lot spooked her?

I don't understand what this has to do with Naomi's abduction and murder.

You need to watch that.

Troy is accused of willfully destroying an item used in the criminal activity, with the intent to conceal his identity. That could mean that he burned his clothing, or altered the weapon he used.

Destruction of Evidence

"The crime of destroying evidence is defined in Nevada Revised Statute section 199.220. According to the relevant statute, the offense of destruction of evidence involves willfully destroying, erasing, altering, obliterating or concealing any type of paper, book, writing, record, instrument, or any other item.

This offense can be committed by any person with intent to conceal the commission of any felony offense or by any person with intent to conceal the identity of a person committing a felony offense."

Thanks for that definition. And how bizarre it is as it focuses on "journal type" of items (paper, pens, etc.) and then suddenly says "or any other item" which means "anything in the world." ??? Wonder if that dates back a hundred years or more in the books.

I'm not sure I think that he's either of those guys. But I haven't been following super closely, so that's why I was wondering. It seems like a lot of people have just assumed that he's guilty so I thought maybe I'd missed something.
LE investigation led to him and no one else (that we know of). None of us have any information on the details of why they are confident he is the right suspect, we haven't seen the CC yet. We don't know how much they will release before his trial. At this point, there is simply no reason to doubt LE has their man. Moo.

Sure sounds like a very old law that has been modified to include modern life.

Maybe the destruction of property charge relates to her cell phone - that she recorded him when he got into her car and he destroyed her phone.

"Burglary and destruction of evidence" - curious what that means. I think of burglary as breaking into a home. How about carjacking? Could the destruction of evidence mean her purse is missing? Perhaps her poor body was too decomposed to detect any signs of sexual assault?
Destruction of evidence could be burying her body, throwing away her personal posessions and / or a murder weapon

Or did he learn from his mistakes?
My thoughts exactly. I think he may have corrected his mistakes for his preferred outcome.

I think it is possible that this was the same man, but he hadn't perfected his crime yet.

He came up to a woman who was alone in her car, no one else around---acted manic and forceful, and wanted her to get into his vehicle, and was very aggressive---she declined and was frightened but he eventually drove off.

We know that Troy has access to other vehicles besides his pick up truck. So the vehicle doesn't rule him out. I do think it is possible that he began with a weak performance, and corrected his mistakes in the next attempt.

He came under the cover of darkness this time, walked up stealthily from behind. Probably had a weapon too.

Exactly! Plus, he initially stalked her at a deserted nature area where she was walking her dogs, then drove to lie in wait for her in his car across from where she would have to drive to exit the nature area. Then, he followed her for a period of time, down streets, through store parking lots, etc., before he pulled alongside her in another parking lot where she was trying/about to exit that lot.
There was nothing innocent about this chain of events, & there’s no way it was simply “a man who thought he knew her.”

So the man that followed her passed her and waited for her. She was afraid of him, and drove up behind him, and had to drive around him. Did she report the licence plate to police? Is it the same licence plate as Troy Driver?
