Among other possible reasons, he is being held in Yerington, while the court is in Fernley, Canal Township Justice Court, which is some 48 miles away. Seems to be a better use of resources and makes more sense to appear via Zoom, considering the hearing apparently took literally less than 10 minutes. JMO

Personally I like the idea of Zoom appearances, at least up to the main trial. It saves money in transport, personnel, etc. and it reduces the chance of escape attempts or other disruptive incidents and the court can easily mute the defendant if they do become disruptive. It’s just too bad that it took COVID precautions to introduce the idea. I can see why the defense council might prefer a traditional court setting for the main trial but it seems to me that the more hearings and trials that can done via Zoom the better.
Let me also just briefly say how happy I am that TD’s bail was revoked with the new charges. I absolutely hated the idea of Naomi’s family watching TD walk out of jail.

Well according to his attorney, we've yet to hear the "true story". Not sure what kind of spin you can put on what was caught on video and the results of Naomi's autopsy. I'm hoping LE has clear and concise proof that Driver was at each of the locations - from Walmart to Sherwin Williams, her body location and each of the places where evidence was disposed.

Naomi who was in the USA for freedoms to live free, love all, learn, forgive, form special friendships, develop hobbies, learn to cook and drive in excess of speeds to 75 - 80mph on (Houston) Interstates. After arriving in AUG, 2021, Naomi had her driver's license and the blue car. Naomi scored a good job and was saving money. Naomi lived! #RainbowsForNaomi

Her brother, CaseyValley, thinks she'd want to yell it from the rooftops for everyone to pay attention to their surroundings. Be cautious. Lock your doors. Be aware. Look up!

Naomi's brother received a call from her employee saying she was a no show for two days. There it is.

There's not much to comment on until the Open Murder charge hearing in May. The autopsy report is suppressed, as is the cause of death. We might have to wait until trial to learn more about Naomi, and more about the MO that this 41 year old man used with his victims.

What a beautiful video tribute to a sister and a daughter. Her family is remarkable. I have a question. Casey seemed to have a lot to say about SM and meeting people online. Does anyone think this is going to be a factor in how TD and Naomi's paths crossed? Could she have innocently shared too much info with an online predator? I also saw the pictures of the area where she was located and it really amazes me that they even found her. They reported it was a tip...I hope they share more about the "tip". I wonder if the tip included other missing women. Does he indeed have other victims? So many new questions, at least for me! LadyL, I think there are others.

Because speculation should always be, and is not always stated as such, I feel it has to be said that there is no evidence, or as far as any of us knows, even any suspicion by LE that there may be other victims of TD. Many of us here feel Naomi was not TD's first or only victim since being released from prison ten years ago, for an accessory to murder charge as a teen, but it is ONLY our speculation. JMO

Not that we know of. More than twenty years ago he was involved in a murder where he hid the body, and today he's involved in a murder where he hid the body. It is possible that he did not do anything like this at any time between the two murders, but I think it's unlikely.
