****PLEASE SHARE AND PLEASE BE ON THE LOOKOUT*****On Sunday, January 6, 2018 at about 5:00 p.m. Douglas County Emergency Communications received a call from a male adult who reported he became lost while snow shoeing at the top of Kingsbury Grade. Raymond Murdock called stating he had become lost while snow shoeing off Andria Drive, Zephyr Cove, Nevada near the trailhead.The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team was activated and launched a search and rescue mission. In the area of Andrea and North Benjamin is an active search and rescue mission. Please be careful in this area due to a large amount of personnel and vehicles. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Raymond please contact Douglas County Emergency Communications (911). Outside resources are being requested to assist and relieve current working SAR members. Updates will be released upon new information.

UPDATE: Missing snowshoer found safe and alive

Raymond Murdock, a snowshoer who went missing near the top of Kingsbury Grade Sunday, has been found safe and alive, according to Sgt. Ron Elges.
