Hi I am totally new to this site, and I am addicted to it now. I love to investigate things. I saw the Facebook page about Steven. And I used to live up in Seven Hills, and Anthem is on the edge of town. A bus system does run up there. Does anyone recall when they said he was spotted near Craig Road in NLV?

Are you near that area? Do you use the buses?

I'm still waiting for your post about the neighborhood people with possible connections to the case who are also connected to Sacto, SLC and LV. Still working that angle?

Can you ask Naegle if Steven participated heavily or at all in the Proposition 8 drive in '08? The person with the ties, donated to the cause. Before I just throw out a possible connection...I would like to have a possible connection to Steven.

Naegle said that the parking authority got Steven's number from his boss, so the fliers he was handing out did not have Steven's information on them. So...independent did not mean that Steven set up the appointments, etc., it just meant that the owner did not have to get workers comp, etc., but did make the appointments and decide price.

With that said, this would say that the owner would know when Steven was working and how much he was making. This would indicate if he had money we were not aware of.

I don't think he would be handing out fliers if he was planning on not being there to perform the work...UNLESS he was directed or being paid to hand out fliers in the neighborhood where the helped those girls.

Can you do contact the RTC?
We don't know if anyone has, and it would be interesting to at least document it. Maybe they can tell you if anyone checked out that sighting.

The lasvegasnow.com story repeats the same sighting.

Looking over Steven's phone records, I noticed that he had not spoken to anyone, just to chat,or shoot the breeze, in a very long time.... He also does not seem to have called back any of the places he sent resumes to. He sounds very isolated, I wonder if he felt lonely, or did he like it that way ? But IMHO Steven really was vulnerable because he was so isolated.
Brazil : I checked with the airlines flying out of McCarran, and he could have gotten a round trip fare to Sao Paolo for about 825.00, less if he went to Rio or booked a few weeks ahead of time,or booked a flight online. I wonder if he had opened any new credit cards before he went missing ?

I believe employment issues are one key to Steven's disappearance.
We're used various sources to come up with the work history now shown on the timeline --and it conflicts with family statements. Would you be interested in doing some digging?

In your article, you quote a family statement:
"Koecher moved to St. George in April of 2009. The 30-year-old was tired of the gloomy Salt Lake City winters and working the graveyard shift. He left a job at the Salt Lake Tribune to pursue employment in warmer climes. "

According to the SLTribune, he worked there from Mar 07-July 08. That's almost a year before he moved to "warmer climes". He does not list the Tribune experience on his LinkedIn profile.

Then on LinkedIn, he says he worked for Matchbin from Oct 08 - May 09

That company is located in Bountiful, Utah (near where his parents live), not in "warmer climes" either. If he worked for them from St George, it would only have been for a few weeks....and he had no internet connection there.

As for another credit card....the bills should be coming in now, shouldn't they?

Many of the questions I sent Naegle last night, were about the job. Things we don't have information on. Like what's the name of the company? How much did he earn? N didn't know, but I think she'll ask when she's with everyone in LV this weekend.

I'm sorry. I saw "phone records" and got all excited.

We really don't know if he made more calls. His best bud seems to be Tom, who Steven didn't reply to when he attempted to contact him twice.

It seems to me, that in the last days, he was avoiding those close to him or those he had obligations with.

All I know, is the list contains self-reported conversations from people who came forward and said "Yes, I talked to him...."

Could he have been ferrying cars for someone who bought and sold cars at auto auctions? Around my area marginally employed people sometimes drive used autos to or from auctions for people who deal in used cars. Sometimes they even drive them to different states. They get paid in cash. The buyer/seller will have 2 or more people drive different vehicles and then they all ride back together in 1 vehicle.

Do we know that when Steve visited the couple (Neffs?) in Ruby Valley that he was driving his own car?

About the window washing business - in my experience only businesses are solicited for this type of work. Small shopowners, etc. Was that what Steven was doing for his employer or were they handling private homes?

Good question about what car he was driving when he went to Ruby Valley.

From what's been reported, he was soliciting window washing (and Christmas light hanging) work from homeowners. I'll ask, though.
